After Effects really does love making huge file sizes doesn't it. The best answer I got on the Adobe forums was "AE isn't really meant to be the end of a pipeline".

We've just finished this film for Vale of York Academy and @makesomeimpact This was one of our toughest shoots because of the current restrictions in schools. With some careful planning and plenty of enthusiastic pupils, we managed to film this in a day.
