@TheMogMiner @hackaday Thanks for reporting that comment using the "report comment" button! Apparently, some other people did too, because it disappeared. I don't know why random jerks feel like they have to bag on other peoples' efforts.

"Reeeee, people who are actually passionate about things are cringe, reeeeee." What are your moderators even doing, @hackaday? You let comments from shitheads like this through, yet my replies taking them to task never seem to make it.

@arturo182 Please hit the "report comment" button and help us out! Comments are open to the whole Internet, and there _are_ jerks out there. We try to keep things clean the best we can, but we have limited resources. We need your help! The alternative is to require registration. Yuck.

@Odd_Jayy Awesome talk! And can confirm that the random movement trick works, at least on this human. More on art/tech? Yes please.

@matthew_d_green Bank run, without FDIC insurance to stop contagion. We've seen this before. About 100 years ago.

@Chris_Gammell And those were just the ones that we heard! I hope everyone else's to-do / to-think lists are as long as mine are now.

@hackaday @Odd_Jayy Thanks Jayy for agreeing to come on! We (Hackaday) would hate for you to feel alienated from us -- we're your people after all. Hope this is a step toward making it right again. We'll talk more at Supercon.

@davedarko @MAYERMAKES I like it in principle, though. I think I did the Klangorium in hierarchichal sheets. The discipline of thinking "enumerate inputs and outputs for each module" can be a good thing. I just wish it carried over to an equivalent layout block.

@davedarko @MAYERMAKES This is why I don't use them often. In my ideal world, I have these hierarchical sheets and corresponding layouts. #import 3.3V regulator block. I haven't looked for a year or so, but it didn't used to be easy/possible.

I think I might need to delete Twitter for the rest of October and November, I'm already getting serious FOMO from not going to @hackaday supercon!

@ReimuNotMoe @nokia For the record, Hackaday doesn't think that you're in violation of our Clause 3.3, Acceptable Use. We think that the name is clearly Not confusable with Nokia. (See what I did there?) The path of least resistance is probably to change the name, but @Nokia, this is bad publicity

After reading the email from @Nokia one more time, I started to feel angry. This nothing more than a staged accident. Since this is already a collaborative project and contributed by people around the world, I'm going to release the complete email to its "intended recipients".

We just received an email from the real @Nokia and they asked us to stop using the #Notkia name "for the similarity". Any suggestions to a new name?

@bitluni "Some effort" is a nice understatement. :) The water-pool analog, followed by an accessible computer simulation, and then the working device is one of the clearest lessons in physics that I've seen in a while. And a cool project. You hammered it, IMO!

In case you missed my latest project. I put some effort into demonstrating the physics behind phased arrays with simple experiments and building a working sonar scanner youtu.be/z4uxC7ISd-c
