TezLab FSD Tracker 298+ miles on FSD (Hudson Valley to coastal Maine – 0 interventions / 3 overrides). Now that TezLab can track FSD miles (still in private beta), we wanted to share some important info amid all the noise in the system and market. In the very near term, we’ll be widening the release of our FSD tracker. At a much larger scale, we’ll be able to analyze tracked miles, disengagements, segments, and a new category we’re calling Overrides. Overrides: Our definition of an override is essentially a “Go Pedal” press — allowing the driver to speed up, park faster, etc. Think of an override as a preference vs. a failure. Interventions (Disengagements) vs. Overrides: Some folks view overrides as interventions (we get it). While TezLab can analyze them that way too, the term intervention is getting too much negative attention and distracting from the technical achievement. We view them differently — because they are. When you override, you’re not disengaging. We may host a Spaces soon to talk more about this. On the TezLab App side, we’ll display both overrides and interventions. If you prefer to treat everything as an intervention, you’ll be able to combine both fields. As Tesla refines their process, we’ll keep evolving ours too.
