@StatueofIBBertY I feel like this is where AI will ultimately lead us in time, rather than eliminating devs entirely we will need engineers who understand how to efficiently use AI.

Claude cowork/code isn't set up for workflows at all, damn - we just saved a customer 150k a year on Claude by switching them to open source. The operations team looks at the Zillow listing for an address (to get the estimated rent). Claude cost them ~$1.5 PER ADDRESS. They get about a few hundred rent amount verifications per day. Claude used the browser to cycle through them every day and one by one load almost half a million tokens per page, while a support agent spent two hours babysitting it. We switched them to Cotera. Now the agent runs on Mistral (which costs 85% less than Sonnet). It also uses a finely scoped tool call (which reduces it from 500000 tokens per call to 12000 tokens). Lastly, because it's Cotera driven, we spin up 300 versions of the agent in parallel instead of doing it one by one. Happens in about 90 seconds instead of in two hours, for under a thousand per month.
