Opening #assembly at Mondrian, our yearlong theme of #belonging was introduced. As students talked in their home languages to unpack the concept, Sofia shared her definition translated from Russian: the place you're meant to be. I'm proud to belong at IPS Hilversum!❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

We explored #socialjustice through a simple game of basket toss. Asking students “what makes you feel like this is unfair?” And “what advantages/disadvantages are at play?” Thanks to @innovative_inq for the awesome tools that help us understand how we can take action#PYPx2023

Grade 6 explored the 5 forms of #action in the #PYP. In a series of workshops, each group met me in the library to explore #advocacy through the stories of youth advocates from @unicef. Students looked for connections between the qualities and actions of each advocate.

Pie for pi? These students memorized up to 110 DIGITS of pi, just to pie me in the face?! They worked for weeks coming up with different strategies and songs to help them commit to memory. We’ll to anything to get them excited about numbers! #WorldMathsDay
