In #csubedte4200 class on a Monday night exploring Twitter and Google Sites. Gaining valuable knowledge of some excellent educational programs with @Duncannedd! 👩💻🍎👩🏫
@mvprincess4life@teachsci8@tom_karnes I love the idea of kids collaborating with each other using technology! I've been wondering about ways to get kids in the U.S. in touch with kids in classes in other countries. I think seeing kids collaborating/communicating across borders would be awesome! @Duncannedd#csubted
@teachsci8 A4) Using technology as a mechanism for assessment is a good way (i.e. presentations). Students can also create videos, use technology to produce graphic organizers, or collaborate online with students in other classes for ideas! @tom_karnes#csubted
Good morning everyone! We are tweeting live today from the CSU Symposium in Fresno, CA. Here is question #4 for our CSUB EDTE 4200 Slow Chat. Please don't forget to tag your instructor & include our hashtags. #csubted#csubedte4200
@silbischoff81@teachsci8@Tech_Buddha Agreed! Kids should be learning how to best utilize technology for their future classes and careers. They should also be learning proper technology etiquette. These skills are so important in the 21st century. @Duncannedd#csubted#csubedte4200
@teachsci8 A4) Kids consume online content constantly. Teachers should attempt to provide students with multiple options to demonstrate knowledge & produce their own content with technology, e.g. creating google slides, digital books, & Kahoot quizzes for the class. @Duncannedd#csubted
@Sarai17360287@Ststansberry@doctor2pi Isn't Google great? The discovery of Google Drive and all the apps within it has truly been life changing! I used to carry all my documents around on a flash drive before learning about Drive. It's so useful for communication and collaboration as well! @Duncannedd#CSUBTED
@Ststansberry A3) Google Drive has been extremely useful to me in my early teaching preparation. Im able to create polls, share docs with other educators, and even create my own website to share with a classroom or peers quickly and easily! @doctor2pi#CSUBTED
@Jessica25239764@Ststansberry Students love being to see their grades sooner, and not having to put grades on paper anymore is pretty helpful. Online quizzes rock! You get to save on some paper 😁 @Duncannedd#CSUBTED
@Ststansberry A3) We are collaborating with technology as we speak(type)! We can use programs like Google Classroom and Schoology to engage and interact with our students. These programs can also be used to communicate and collaborate with parents and other educators! @Duncannedd#CSUBTED
@DrCaliGrit@tom_karnes Oh that reminds me of a CD cover I made freshman year! I loved that project. I agree about using Google, students would have more access to images and ideas than we did when just using magazines. @Duncannedd#csubted#csubedte4200
Q2 Welcome to the second night of the CSUB slow twitter chat. Think about the question below and respond with a pithy tweet. Remember to include your instructor's handle and #CSUBTED and/or #csubedte4200
@tom_karnes A2) My favorite memory in school was my sophomore year cooking class. We would make so many different dishes and teachers from other classes would come and try the dish. Youtube would have help with recipe variety.#csubedte4200#csubted@Tech_Buddha
@tom_karnes A2) I got to create a multi-page report on an Agatha Christie book in junior high. I burned and stained paper for a cover and used multimedia to illustrate the pages. I think it would be interesting to see if it could be recreated with technology! @Duncannedd#csubted
