The older/busier I get, the more I see that peoples perceptions of improvement are wrong. Sure playing the game can be helpful for execution but most big improvements come from theory crafting, applying new concepts, and asking good questions. Most of my big level ups came from-

Hey remember when CFV used to change foil patterns each set. You might not have always liked the foil, but it was fun to be able to look at a card's pattern and tell what set it's from Then from V onward almost every release has used the standardized most bland foil of all time

@SlusheeSSB I’m telling you that you can actively choose to engage with the game in a healthy way (play at locals) that doesn’t make you sad every time you look at it. In doing so I have to address that there is a character that you hate in your region and one that is a top tier. Stop trying

Smash bros ult is top tier slop now and it’s really fucking sad. Same 4-5 characters over and over. You used to be able to watch a major or regional and barely see any repeats. Rip ult. Can’t even watch that shit anymore. The character expression is almost entirely gone.
