@halleyji Even those born in the 30s and 40s prefer to live by themselves until they become too old to manage. Everyone wants privacy, not just the younger generation.

Everyone wants to be independent. What we don't acknowledge often is that modernity keeda has bitten even the previous generation i.e. the kind of parents in question below. Those born in 50s 60s etc. Everyone thinks like a sovereign individual. No one wants to compromise and adjust. As people often assume it is not just the younger generations that want be left alone. Even older generations are like this. Plus many are financially independent, settled and secure in their own way. Then our Matt Walsh gaaru posts that multiple generations need to live under one roof etc 😂

It is disheartening to hear from many friends that their parents are unwilling to live together, preferring more privacy and a relaxed lifestyle. Despite having the option to work remotely from their hometowns, my friends find it easier to visit than to live there. Tough times.

Hindu right needs to develop empathy, tribalism, intelligence Woman comes back with 4 children; she’s facing questions from reporters with grace, dignity, courage; her life in danger And we can’t resist (wink, nudge, point fingers) “Hindu women never learn, do they?” Let’s not “other” our own people. It takes unimaginable courage to walk out. Hindu samaj should form a protective circle around its vulnerable people - the trapped, the sick, the poor, the dejected ones. Both men and women. Stop seeing losses in wins. The frustration on the Hindu side is understandable to an extent, but remember the way you treat these courageous victims who speak up today…will determine how many find the hope and courage to come back tomorrow. These high-profile returns could turn into a flood or could trickle out, and much of the outcome depends on how we as a society handle it. A heartfelt appeal to all - please put yourself in their shoes before always sitting in judgement on fellow Hindus. Be kind, hopeful, positive and you will accomplish a lot more than with constant whining, negativity and vengefulness. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Former Miss India Earth contestant Sayali Surve married Atif in 2019 despite family opposition and converted to Islam, taking the name Ateeja. She’s alleging harassment and pressure to follow strict Islamic practices by her husband and his family. She’s returned to Hindu fold now. Hindu women never learn, do they ?

@saffronnhoney @shalinispv It’s not exactly a storytelling workshop like “how to tell stories”. It’s more of “what can we learn about friendship from this story” Having said that, adults are welcome. There’s so much to learn from everything and we can use these insights to teach the children in our lives!

@hinduparenting @shalinispv Can parents and/ or grandparents take part in this workshop instead of children? Do you think this workshop can enable them to improve their story telling skills?

#WomensDay reminder to Hindu parents to sit daughters down to talk about modern womanhood. Address current challenges. #WomenEmpowerment must include self-respect, fierce pride in thousands of years of their own Hindu lineage, not having to convert to new religions on marriage!!

Sick perverts @Its_Badshah’s latest song shows schoolgirls throwing away bags and books and he singing - Aaya Badshah toli chadhane, in sabki ghodi banane FIR filed in Haryana, look out circular issued Do you realise this is what the lower-age-of-consent brigade will unleash on Indian families as sexualising schoolgirls would become legal in media and entertainment?

Kids under 4yrs learn more easily when you recite to them ritually rather than pointing and reading through a book. Unfortunately, our surroundings often emphasize parents holding books (like in toy ads or stores), but the focus should really be on parents holding their children and reciting. Ofcourse as they grow book reading play major role, my point is, reciting never got much attention it deserves. Try it.
