Shamelessly posting @hinto62's epic shot when I think it was most akin to Oakfield. Sent this same comparison to many others earlier today. Takes a very particular (& temporally rare) environment to support this. 1 in 20? 25? 30 year event?!

To recap today so far. - Tornado in Arnett, OK that looked almost the exact same as the tornado in 2007 - Violent tornado in the Greensburg area, almost looked identical to the supercell in 2007 - Dead man walking tornado in Texas - May 3rd Moore looking tornado in W KS from @tornadokurtzman Even crazier? The Arnett and Greensburg storms happened on the same day in 2007.

We were lucky enough to be part of through chaser mosh pit that scored multiple tornadoes near #Arnett, Oklahoma #okwx

This was our view of the Pauls Valley, #Oklahoma cone tornado today. Looks like the #tornado wasn't overly destructive thankfully - but it did become rain wrapped for a bit.
