@CameronJNixon @emdeeteewx @georgeilstrup The more I look at the original tweeted photo the more I'm skeptic on it being Spring Green though - that image quality outshines 2005 technology. Definitely a later phase of Ashby in my opinion.

@CameronJNixon @emdeeteewx @georgeilstrup As a WI tornado historian, I can confirm there was a photogenic F1 tornado near Spring Green on the day of the state's largest outbreak (at the time). I believe the bottom photo is the same Spring Green tornado. Top one *might* be Spring Green too, but leaning birth of Stoughton.

@CameronJNixon @MatthewCappucci I identify CC500L setups as one of the following: 1) Focus Area (FA) = <100km of sfc L/Pac & warm front intersection 2) Warm Sector Supercell (WSS) = >100km from FA 3) Warm Sector Linear (WSL) = >100km from FA 4) Hybrid (H) = tors both in FA & WSS/WSL modes 4/26/24 is a "H"

@CameronJNixon @MatthewCappucci The last general piece to the CC500L puzzle is the presence (& magnitude) of a low-level thermal ridge immediately behind the Pacific front. The one on Apr 26 fostered low-level lapse rates from 8-9.5C/km! 60-65F Tds beneath -16 to -18C H5 Ts generated 1000-2000 MLCAPE. 2/2

@NWSLaCrosse @MichaelMarz1 Sorry you guys had to fish for reports mid warning ops...would love to see dedicated & trustworthy chasers like Mike tag your office initially for a smoother report-to-warning process. Today's environment for tornadoes was marginal so no harm with a lack of TOR issuance imo.
