@ZackScottSports I did work with Will while in Boston, and he was great! Super baseball mind, super human being! I never doubted for a moment that he would get his chance to manage!

I was hoping Will would get this gig. I didn't work with him in Boston or Texas, but he impressed me when we interviewed him for the Red Sox manager position before bringing Alex Cora back. At the time, I felt his first managerial job should be in a place with lower expectations than Boston. That was four years ago, and he has since worked with two great, though different, managers: AC and Bochy. This seems like an ideal spot to get his feet wet. #whitesox #mlb
