From Monday 25th September 2023, electric scooters must not be brought on board any Stagecoach service, even if the battery pack has been removed. This safety step is due to the batteries on e-scooters being a known fire risk and multiple fires occurring on UK public transport.

It is shameful that the Government have slashed by half the funding to social care previously promised. The promised money to unpaid carers is no longer there.

Earlier this week our MP in Torbay voted to suppress our unobstructed right to vote. Sadly, this was pushed through in the Lords. Conservatives are suppressing the rights of those more on the margins of society to be able to cast their vote.

Delighted that we are seeing further progress on this site. It is disappointing that all Conservative councillors for Paignton voted against crucial funding to get this project moving.

Further good news was announced this week that following the decision by the Partnership of Independents and Lib Dems to Compulsory Purchase Crossways, the hoardings have gone up as the process to demolish the Paignton eyesore begins. torbay.gov.uk/news/pr8786/
