@SimonCalder Trying to be organised & book a train ticket 12 weeks out & I get this, and so can’t book for the return even though the outbound are available.
Buying train tickets in the UK is still awful.
Like many I’ve just received my 'how the Government spends your money' tax summary.
Share if you, like me, think this is totally and utterly unsustainable.
You can’t run a country this way.
@sharrond62 People seem to have forgotten that everyone has to start somewhere. If females are put off at the beginning, they will never progress further, whether recreationally for health and enjoyment or with future elite potential.
We must not throw all non elite women & girls in sport under the woke weak compromise bus! It’s madness to say these women (elite) are good enough to deserve fair safe sport but these pathway or recreational females are not!
Just seen a huge f*ck-off Nope hiding in my bathmat.
So glad he gave himself away and wasn't hiding better.
He's now safely in spider heaven (not in my house!)
Why has it been decided that for a @JohnLewisRetail Christmas ad to be “good” it needs to tug at heart strings. And does any of it actually drive sales? I guess the PR reminds us that John Lewis still exists?
We need more fun and laughs in life!
@oldelvet@SnailTideway Interesting. When GDPR came in we were specifically told Google Drive was compliant and no actions needed.
(Pre AI, plus I’m no longer involved so things may have changed of course)
@SnailTideway Ditto everyone conducting club business with personal Gmail/Outlook accounts. Even more so now we have AI where all the mailbox contents are no doubt being fed into the latest AI training data.
Airbus A380: still a passenger favourite, especially on airlines with economy seats on the upper deck.
Seats only 8 abreast, compared with 10 on the lower deck.
A 2-4-2 configuration means three out of four passengers have either a window or an aisle seat.

@durhamalumni Morning, you may which to check the image you’re using ref. the recent successes at World Rowing Champs email and website article. Wrong sort of boat 🫢
Where have all the long term tide tables gone? I can’t find London Bridge (or similar) high tide times for more than 12 months out, and nor can AI. Last time I looked, I could get 5+ years out (hence haven’t done this for a while). Any suggestions?
Currently addressing you all from the afterlife, given @BritishRowing decided my life membership expired on Tuesday, but unfortunately still can’t influence the weather.
@Argos_Online Is there actually a way I can get help from a human? I’ve been in a doom loop of auto options in the DMs and short of writing to the postal address on your website, can’t see any other options?
@hmfsmith@SGNgas Hi Helena - if you could please send a direct message to the @SurreyCouncil account with the name of your road, I can look into these works for you. Thanks, Beth-Anna
@HighwaysSurrey how do we find out more information about @SGNgas digging up our road as of yesterday, putting out no parking cones and putting in temp lights when residents have had ZERO notification? (NOT emergency works). Can’t find anything online.
@SimonCalder@jlo_said No. Strongly disagree with October. We’re (Surrey) getting two weeks in October from 2026 taken from the summer. Who wants two weeks when it’s typically cold and damp? Two weeks in May would be a dream for everyone, but needs universal approach b/c exams timetabling.
Slice a fortnight off the school summer holiday. Move a week to each of the May and October half-terms: the view of @jlo_said, CEO of Advantage Travel Partnership. Better for children, parents, teachers, plus lower prices by spreading demand.
Do you agree?

Possibly the worst, most convoluted CEx nonsense I’ve seen for a long time @sainsburys@nectar As a busy working mum, I want things which make life easier, not harder. Can I have a refund on the balance of my delivery pass? WAY too much hassle when YOU benefit from my data.
