@Paula8178681 @rtenews Nope. They mean CO2 emissions from any human activity. The miliary and wars account for about 5-6% of total annual emissions so cannot be ignored.

@rtenews So it's all “human activities” fault, but no wars, no military carbon emissions, no countries ignoring rules? Bit Convenient. Wonder if Greta is about to be unboxed again 🙄

@moffat14 @FinancialReview So Trump starts another oil war and it is Labor’s fault. 🤦🏻 The US didn’t even top up their own fuel reserves let alone let anyone else know what was planned. I assume from your dislike of renewables that you are also anti climate science. Now that would be very stupid if true.

@FinancialReview Without diesel to run Australia’s farming, logistics and supply systems - the hundreds of billions Bowen is spending on renewables will not help one little bit. Unfortunately, Bowen / Albanese/ Labor have been too dumb to see it. Everyone will suffer for their stupidity. Enjoy!

Whether we like it or not, Australia runs on diesel, writes consultant Robert Hadler. If diesel supplies run out, the country stops. ebx.sh/HitPPU

@warranto_q92963 @Peter_Fitz Mate, unglue your eyeballs from Sky News for a couple of hours and test drive an EV. The power, the quiet, the smooth ride, the lack of fumes, the cheap charge at home. What’s not to like? 😁

@Peter_Fitz BUT...when they go wrong, they go spectacularly wrong. Wait til the diesel generator cost starts raising the electron pump price. Will there even be diesel to run the generators? When that $24k car battery goes, it will be a throw away.

Cheapest EVs now in Oz about $24K, which compares particularly well with the cost of the petrol ones, on the money you save on fuel - and maintenance. Often discounted is that there is bugger-all maintenance costs, 'cos there aint 1000 things that can go wrong.

Australia sits right in the middle on fuel prices. Not the highest. Not the lowest. And it still hurts. That tells you everything. The problem isn’t the price —it’s the broken legacy system. Pay → burn → repeat 🔁 EVs don’t compete with this. They exit it → #Bettrification

Well just turn up to Bathurst? Introduce a few corners. See how the range and recharging goes against 1000kms in a day at flat out speeds. I’m sure they’ll welcome real world conditions. Eg in place of refuelling restrictions for ICE they’d need to Recharge Based on average recharge speed for average motorists. Batteries would have to be smallest available in the range. And maybe 1 tire change? Coming down Mt Panorama flat out on rubber wearing thin - pulling the big side on Gs! Ahh the stuff of legends. Of course, making EVs NOT explode when they hit walls at 200kmh might be a problem? See what you think!

When a family sized SUV can destroy a £200k V12, it’s no wonder we now have so many fragile men spreading lies about electric cars. Their manliness is tied to what used to be fast cars, full of “soul”. Now they get destroyed by a Hyundai.

@alexbhturnbull Wasn't it because Australia at the time believed that gas was a transition fuel and that we didn't need it? I remember reading papers on the transition to renewables would more than offset and requirements for gas

@MalariaDFL @JillBelch 🤦🏻 Human civilisation has only existed for about 10-12,000 years. We are rapidly losing the stable climate that allowed us to prosper and grow from about 4 million stone age humans 20,000 years ago to ~8 billion today.

This list looks impressive, but only a tiny fraction are actually climate scientists, most from unrelated fields. Independent checks show 1–3% have relevant expertise. Some names are left on after death. 99% of climate scientists on Google scholar show #CLIMATEchange is real.

@elviragregorich @EVCurveFuturist +4.2 million households have solar & that will continue to grow rapidly thanks to Trump’s global carbon tax aka Middle East Oil war. Free or cheap solar in the middle of the day is good opportunity to charge EVs rather than let it go to waste.

@LloydRusse17883 @EVCurveFuturist Now that is shallow. Not every car is driven in the bush & not every truck belongs to an outback trucker. A big majority of Australians live in urban areas & drive on average about 38km a day. 4.2 million households have solar.

Australia just released official EV fire data. 473,000 EVs. 13 fires. 3 = house fires 2 = arson 5 = high-speed crashes Only 3 unexplained. Yet one EV fire = headlines. ICE cars burn every day. Silence. Not a safety issue. A narrative and education problem. #Bettrification

@AukeHoekstra Ten years ago, South Australia at 41% RE blacked out when a storm wrecked trans towers & wind farms & an inter-connector tripped. The fossil fuel lobby thought they had won the lottery - SA added batteries (below), syn cons, strengthened wind farm settings. Now at 75% RE. 💪

The final report on the Iberia Peninsula (Spain and Portugal) blackout is out. A lot of people will be blaming renewables and talk about inertia. But the cause was bad voltage control and that's surprisingly easy to fix. Let me explain. #Publications_&_Documents" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">entsoe.eu/publications/b…

@hughriminton @nytimes You know man made “climate warming” was abandoned twenty years ago when they realised it is not happening. It was changed to man made “climate change”, which is also not happening. The climate is changing just like it has always done, before humans.

Do you know there is a difference between installed capacity and actual electrical output? Wind and solar have a 20% capacity factor so take any estimate of “installed capacity” and chop that by 80% and that’s the real number Fact: renewables create energy poverty by sinking valuable capital into power generation assets that could be high efficiency baseload (gas, nuclear)

NEW | The world installed a record 814 GW of solar and wind capacity in 2025 ☀️⚡️ That's over 1,000 TWh of electricity generation per year... ...enough to displace nearly twice Qatar's annual LNG export volume in gas generation 🔥❌ Fossil fuels crisis? Wind and solar deliver.
