We all need to fight for a fairer, more understanding world. However prejudice affects us as individuals-and there are many ways-we should all unite against hate.

@SuellaBraverman @HMICFRS I see nothing wrong with police identifying with any law abiding group. To command respect, they need to be seen as being ‘of’ the community they serve, not ‘apart’ from it. This need not stop them from applying the law fairly and properly.

I'm proud of the support I put in place as Chancellor during Covid. From the furlough scheme to the Culture Recovery Fund, we protected millions of jobs and got the economy growing again. Now, we need to halve inflation and stick to our plan.

You can’t buy “centres of excellence”. They are a natural result of the best care. Mersey Care is meant to be serving local people, not aiming for international recognition. Employ more staff. Cut therapy waiting lists. That’s a better use of £20m.
