I think this is pretty much unprecedented.

Today marks the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. As we honor the 1.5 million Armenians murdered by the Ottoman Empire across modern-day Turkey, Syria, and Armenia, we must refuse to let history repeat itself. In 2020, the military forces of Azerbaijan and Turkey attacked the Armenian population in Nagorno-Karabakh. In 2023, Azerbaijan expelled over 100,000 Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh, continuing the genocidal campaign that had begun over 100 years prior. On this day of remembrance, we reaffirm the right of the Armenian people — and all people — to freedom, safety, and self-determination.

Hope isn’t blind optimism — it arises in the face of uncertainty. If you look at our history, we’ve gone through some rough patches. But we tend to come out on the other side of them stronger than before.

I had the pleasure of joining @Trevornoah today at the Skoll World Forum, in a conversation that underscored both the promise and responsibility of this moment. We spoke about the evolving role of AI, and what I describe as Polyintelligence: the synthesis of human, artificial, and nature’s intelligence to unlock new forms of creativity and problem-solving. In a time of rapid technological acceleration, it is easy to be swept up in what is possible. But realizing that potential requires something more enduring: a willingness to remain unreasonable in the face of constraints, to challenge assumptions, and to pursue ideas that may not yet fit neatly within today’s paradigms. That spirit of “entrepreneuring” remains essential if we are to shape a future that truly serves people and planet - something we focus on every day at @FlagshipPioneer. It was also meaningful to share the stage with President Juan Manuel Santos, @IlwadElman (Aurora Prize Laureate), and Dele Olojede (Aurora Selection Committee Member). The strong presence of the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative in this opening plenary reflects the importance of elevating those working on the frontlines of global challenges. This year’s Forum theme, drawing inspiration from cycles of regeneration in the natural world, feels especially timely. Renewal is not passive; it is an active, collective process. It asks us to reimagine systems and act with both urgency and intention. I relate to this ethos very strongly. Indeed, the power of imagination in the “what if” spirit is essential in making progress - breakthroughs or small step forward. Never settle with 'established doctrines' is not equal to blattering, but indeed key to data-driven research.

Armenian society continues to be disenfranchised and disengaged from politics. According to recent IRI poll, the number of 'undecided' voters ahead of June elections equals the support for #1 Gov and #2 Oppo parties. Society is also split evenly. Support to army highest.

Azerbaijan already lodged an official protest with ​the Iranian embassy in Baku about drone attack in Nakhjivan. Saudis + Kuwait already criticised the alleged attack by Iran. Iranian d-FM says Iran did not launch attack. Is this false flag to drag AZ in war, or what?
