@Fujipredator Highly likely, and that’s okay I never want to gatekeep the sport but man he’s brutal. Also I just checked his feed and he’s reposting the fake troll beat writer account and that’s just gross. Openly spreading misinformation that people willingly gobble up and accept as fact.

@hodgeee413 He seems to me like the kid who was never athletic and so when he got older he leaned into all the analytic stuff and covering the sport to try and seem like he knows what he’s talking about

Cause you put it over the team’s success idiot. Then this line is a deal kicker “you unconditionally support a hockey team of little significance”. So you’re basically telling us you’re not a fan. Just a fan of you know who. Philly we can’t expunge these types of people from flyers x fast enough.

If i’m Tocchet i’m going Bump-Zegras-Tippett Barkey-Dvo-TK Martone-Cates-Michkov Glendening-Coots-Foerster Bonk as 6D and try him on the PP in the bumper spot, not like the PP can get worse so might as well give it a look.

Playoffs bring on adversity players haven’t seen before. Especially for one of the youngest rosters in the league. People want development, but those same people don’t want the negative side of it. When you want proper development, you have to take the good & the bad.

@jakeboyer_1 The difference is TyFo is still an effective checker when the offense isn’t going, he is naturally going to have a longer leash because of that and by virtue of just being a more veteran player.

I really hate to be negative, but this seems like a complete 180 from what he said about Michkov For Michkov, he needed a break because he hit a wall, but Foerster hits the same wall and can just work through it? I was in favor of Michkov taking a game off, but Foerster has looked really bad these last few games as well, and I think he should be scratched now, too. It just strikes me as a double standard, where both guys are obviously struggling, but one guy gets scratched, and the other guy gets to work through it? Sure.
Jordan Hall@JHallNBCS

"We're not giving up on Tyson, he's too good of a hockey player." - Rick Tocchet on Tyson Foerster, who has gone scoreless through five games this series Tocchet said it's possible Foerster has hit a bit of a wall after the long layoff, but believes he can work through it.

@JoshYohe_PGH @SGNolan As if hockey isn’t an inherently violent sport most often won by teams who combine skill and violence. You’re a bigger whiner than Dan Muse at this point. Get a grip.

Not that the #Flyers have been choir boys in this series, but I’m genuinely wondering how they’ve been labeled the sole scumbags in this series when the Penguins are ripping off helmets and committing obvious roughing with little to no consequences.

@JoshYohe_PGH Evgeni Malkin has been the sneakiest dirtiest player in hockey for his whole career. Crosby took the same run at Sanheim to end game 4. Mantha has been winding up taking gloved punches at least once a game in scrums but yeah TK has been the most dirty for sure.

As of right now, after Brandon Hagel, who has been the most impressive skater in the early parts of the 1st round? My pick is Jackson LaCombe. You?

@Luke_Hight5 @EricReeseFN Use your eyes, he’s not played well. Barkey got the same minutes and earned a move up the lineup. It’s that simple. He was good the last 25 yes, do you genuinely think he’s looked as good since game 1 of the playoffs on?

@hodgeee413 @EricReeseFN Idk sitting a player that contributed massively the last 25 games of the season to help get you in the dance seems silly in itself. But if you’re just going to play him 4th line minutes on a checking line where 50% of his shifts start in the d zone it’s pointless

Postseason hockey is a different beast from regular season hockey. Michkov isn’t meeting the checking that defines the #NHL postseason. He’s been getting hammered around the ice. It’s not a time for a defend Michkov take. He’s highly underwhelming this series.
Luke@Luke_Hight5

@EricReeseFN I just hope they don’t come calling his name later in the playoffs. Was your best player the last 25 games of the playoffs to help you get in. Tocc made the decision now stand on it. Don’t do that wishy washy shit

@Luke_Hight5 @EricReeseFN This is peak stupid. Cycling guys in and out of the lineup is not “being wishy washy”. It takes a village, everyone is going to have to contribute to accomplish the main goal. He needs a reset, he’ll be back in. Sitting him the rest of the playoffs is how you start controversy.

@EricReeseFN Exactly. Just let him sit the rest of the playoffs so he can get an early offseason to train for next year. So he leaves Tocc no choice but to play him on a real line with real minutes

There’s a reason Barkey, who was getting similar ice time, earned a promotion up to the Zegras line despite limited touches. He earned it. It’s not the end of the world. He’ll get back in soon and be better. It should be a rotation of all 3 of Bump, Barkey and Michkov tbh.

Two things can be true before this inevitable media/fan shit storm. Michkov is a major piece of this franchise and maybe he could be given a longer leash to get going but he has not been good in these playoffs so far with the time he’s been given. He should sit and that’s okay.
