You can live in Germany but you’ll never be a German.
You can pack your bags and live the rest of your life in China or Japan, but you’ll never be Chinese or Japanese.
Yet you can come from any one of those countries to the United States of America, and you can still be an American – so long as you work hard, you play by the rules, you make your contributions, wait your turn, pledge allegiance to the flag, and obtain your citizenship.

@IamTheImmortal Who do you think created this advanced universe? How would it make sense for it to just pop up out of nowhere? To assume it just happened randomly is a leap of faith in itself. Even if you’re not religious it makes sense that there’s some sort of intelligent designer behind it.

Correct. The question isn’t whether we should let billions of people into our country (we shouldn’t). It’s whether the smaller number of people whom we do legally admit, and who eventually obtain their citizenship, are *equally* American as anyone else. The answer to that is yes.

America is a creedal nation. We can protect that creed by halting mass immigration. In fact, it’s our best argument for halting mass immigration. Americanism isn’t a race, and it’s not passed on in our DNA. It must be taught, lived, and passed down to our kids. This was considered an obvious truth since our founding and “E Pluribus Unum,” and now a splinter faction of postmodern race pagans is trying to deconstruct that obvious truth. Don’t let them.
