Why is the Boston media burying the biggest story in the state? On Red Sox opening day, over 35,000 fans at Fenway Park angrily BOOED Gov. Healey & Mayor Michelle Wu when they took to the field prior to the game. Massachusetts voters are DISGUSTED with their leadership. #mapoli

@CaryKelly11 Honey can last indefinitely (like thousands of years) Maple syrup, which I think is delicious and makes for some of the best barbecue sauces, does not... so like all things there are pluses and minuses 🤷

Ever really compared honey to maple syrup? Maple syrup has 4.1× more potassium 6.7× more zinc 10.5× more magnesium 17× more calcium 32× more Vitamin B2/riboflavin 36× more Manganese And 36% less sugar than honey. I’m not telling anyone to go out and buy a jug of maple syrup although I do use small amounts as a sweetener in a few recipes. I’m just saying maybe honey is overhyped. Numbers based on USDA data (100g portions)

Oof… just had the roughest quote I’ve ever done. One of those jobs where the customer gets tons and tons of quotes. His wife mentioned nobody has been calling back, following up, or sending a quote. I take a look at it and it’s immediately apparent why. It’s a small job and really tough. They don’t want to do it and don’t have the right equipment to do it. It’s on roughly a 45 degree grade. Much too steep for a Bobcat. Needs the RC machine. I explain this to the customer and he loses it. Tells me nobody else said that. Says “Oh you must not have a Bobcat with tracks then.” Keep in mind. Nobody else has sent this guy a quote after seeing it. Pretty sure they were just being agreeable to dip out. We’re the only ones I know of in the area that has the right machine for this job. Guy got unreasonably angry that I said a Bobcat can’t handle that grade. Was so bizarre. Anyways, I’m not sending a quote either 😂 No way I’m making an operator deal with this guy

@robmac619 @ferald_gord That's not even true. I live in the Merrimack Valley and if I bought an equivalent house in Salem, NH my property taxes would probably go down. I'm currently paying $10,000 a year on a 3 bedroom ranch because property values are insane. And we get to pay income tax too.

Genuinely curious—why don’t more people use their own parents/kid’s grandparents for childcare as opposed to daycare/preschool/nannies (which seem more common)? Is it common for boomer grandparents to show disinterest in their grandchildren?

- Oh by the way, Mom, we've been stocking up on coffee and some essential foodstuffs that might be getting more expensive. - Oh, your dad used to do that too, back in the eighties. Bought a whole two months' worth of rations and stuff in case of a nuclear crisis, and then it never came. - Still good that he prepared though, wasn't it? Like, there was an actual risk of that happening. - It never did, though. Waste of money. I don't think you should be acting out of fear like that. - It's not like we're afraid, Mom. Just, in case a supply crisis hits, we'd rather have some stores than not. And if it doesn't, we'll just use it up, which means we'll have to spend less on groceries over the next year. - That's what your dad said too. But then the crisis never happened. Waste of money, and it made us look stupid in front of everyone. - So you'd rather not be prepared than run the risk of looking stupid? - I think he wanted it to happen, in a way, so he could say 'I told you so.' - That's... - You'll feel so stupid if nothing comes of it, you'll see.

A reality show where talk show hosts have to do what they’re always telling other people to do. Dave Ramsey has 7 days to find a reliable $2,000 car for DoorDashing and a little old lady’s $500/month garage apartment to live in. Shawn Ryan has to serve as an Assistant U.S. Attorney where he’d prosecute Congressional corruption cases in federal court and have 12 months to secure a conviction. Ben Shapiro and Mark Levin have to survive an entire 31st MEU CENTCOM deployment as E-2s. Each its own season, all live-streamed to X.

She knows herself. Look, if I gave my 9yo grandkid $120 it would all be gone in a couple of weeks, and she'd be begging stingy old miser grandpa for more. If, instead, I give her $10 about once a month, I'm the awesome grandpa who hands out gifts periodically. The government knows this too, which is why they dole out their benefits over time.
