First horizontal video is live. 90 seconds long. 10 hours to make. For comparison: 150 vertical videos behind me — same length, 60 minutes each. Here's why I'm switching things up: I decided @heyedicek won't be a faceless brand. As the founder, I want to lend it my face. Show up, be the person behind it. People don't trust logos. They trust people they recognize. Next step: put the whole build on YouTube. Behind the scenes, build in public. Decisions, mistakes, wins. Long form, slower, honest. Different from anything I've done on TikTok. Not there yet. But that's where this is going.

Sensitive Cards just shipped. Blur any card's preview with one tap. Tap the eye to reveal. Leave the app — it blurs again on its own. Some saves are just for you.

@i_mika_el You can still point out things that are easily to make better. Nobody has full picture and vision that is communicable in one tweet / post / video / image...

same pattern i keep seeing in build in public: founders ask for feedback. many actually want validation for the thing they already decided to build. that is why useful replies feel annoying. they point at the part nobody wanted to admit is weak.

If a site or app forces me to answer some unnecessary question before I can continue, I always give a wrong answer. How did you hear about us? Radio. Does anyone else do that?

@heyedicek just crossed 100 signups. Not active users. Not paying. Just 100 people who saw it and said: I want in. Sounds tiny. Feel huge.

@t_blom I would say it is algorithm fault. When they do not hwlp small accounts to grow from their profile valuable tweets, what would you expect? Everyone is just accepting the game rules.

The majority of replies on this platform now seem to come from AI 😞 We’re just speedrunning a future where it’s just AIs tweeting at each other.

@paulg @ycombinator Exactly. Thanks for saying that out loud. Sometimes you have no other choice if you cannot build it yourself. That is reason why I built @heyedicek for myself at first and then dtarted to shiftung it to posuct.

A startup idea that only works if there are already a significant number of people using it is not a valid startup idea. There has to be some subset of users who need what you're making so desperately that they'll use it even if no one else is.

@paulg Everyone uses AI. It is not about how it is written, but what it is about.

A lot of the emails I get from founders are now written in a hard-hitting journalistic style. I know they're written by AI, because no founder ever wrote this way before. And once you realize something is written by AI, it's hard not to ignore it.

@Bhavani_00007 Build something for yourself. Tool, automation, anything usefull. At some point you might find it sooo usefull for you that others might benefit from it as well. Then try to convert it to product.

Funny thing about Edicek: the web app was the foundation. Everything started there. Now I use the iOS app daily. The Mac app when I'm working. The CLI when I'm in the terminal. The web app? Maybe once a week. You don't stop needing the product. You just stop using the first door.
