I’ve criticised her work in the past but credit to Billi FitzSimons here for good journalism. This budget is extremely unpopular, it will really hit the Labor government

It’s a bit late for Chris Minns. Last year his government passed legislation allowing a man to automatically change his birth certificate to legally become a woman and vice versa. Now Minns in this interview says he’s worried about men playing women’s sport and also swapping over to female prisons. Duh Ho Chi Minns. It’s almost impossible to stop a man playing women’s sport if he has a female birth certificate: the one Minns gave him‼️

#EXCLUSIVE - While the state’s minister for women has refused to provide a definition of the word “woman” NSW Premier Chris Minns says biological differences between males and females “must” be reflected in the law. Pressure is mounting on Anthony Albanese. The PM is being urged to backflip on the changes to capital gains tax. It’s now been revealed Labor decided against a similar policy, more than decade ago. Listen to the details HERE. 🎧omny.fm/shows/ben-ford…🎧

‘But here is the kicker: rather than minimising intergenerational inequity, the negative gearing and CGT changes will actually entrench it. The rules Albanese used to build up his property portfolio, will be protected for people like him but denied to younger generations. Keating tried to remove negative gearing in the 80s; it resulted in a rental crisis and had to be wound back two years later. We’ve been around this mountain before, but sure, let’s do it again.’ Me for @SkyNewsAust #auspol

From the CGT discount to family trust changes, here’s how the Albanese government is so set on pushing older Australians to the wall, writes Caroline Di Russo. skynews.com.au/insights-and-a…

Labor MP Andrew Leigh has a PhD in economics from Harvard. Back in 2006, he wrote a paper which plainly states: “Higher diversity will lead to lower levels of interpersonal trust.” Yet he still supports high levels of immigration and rails against right wing populism. So we can infer that he thinks lowering Australia’s high levels of interpersonal trust is an acceptable compromise on the road to increasing diversity.

Housing is a complex and difficult problem that's been building for 40 years. The idea that you can solve it quickly and easily - it's just disingenous. But we’re focused on a comprehensive approach that is tackling the problem from every single angle.

I'm so grateful to the Australian government for all the new taxes on the wealthiest 1%. No one should be able to own investments without paying most of the gains as tax, it's just common sense. Contribute to others more in need. Thank you Albo

Craig Kelly:🇦🇺Foundation for Economic Education
On every front, our nation is in serious trouble. The economy cannot escape the incompetence of Albanese and Chalmers. These two clowns having never worked in the real world and have no understanding of how our economy actually functions. So every policy intervention they make just makes things worse. Higher bond yields are a clear vote of "no confidence" in the Albanese regime. They will force Australians to pay more interest on government debt and drive down our living standards. We have the worst government in our nation’s history.

So the workaround for the negative gearing changes is simply to acquire the residential property in a company or fixed (unit) trust. Borrow the money to buy the shares/units. The company/trust makes a profit on the rental as it has no debt and it pays the profit to you. You claim an interest deduction on the account you borrowed to buy the shares or units (against the trust distribution/dividend) You’ve negatively geared shares/units. Which is and always has been a deduction. I assume most already figured this out.
