Cleveland STILL had the whistle advantage in Game 6, but it was much more balanced (cle +4). And the Pistons won by 21. The whistle is the story of this series.

Barkley is far more charming and willing to laugh at himself and be self deprecating. Draymond has the worst of Shaq’s insecurities/defensiveness with none of Diesel’s humor.

I don’t think Draymond will work long term in traditional media spaces. I know they want him to be a Barkley replacement but it just doesn’t hit quite right. The podcasting will be his thing

The Minnesota Timberwolves are the definition of a modern basketball team, and why they were always the most undervalued team on the playoff board. Everyone at positions 1-4 (starters, reserves) can legitimately handle, shoot, and pass. Size on the interior. Defensive and tough mindset as an identity. This team takes possessions away, and maximizes them on the other end. Almost anyone outside of Rudy can run a PnR or Inverted PnR and can attack a closeout off a ball reversal or kickout. Depth, resilience, and superstar power.

The "3-2-1 lottery" proposal, named to represent the number of lottery balls per team, would expand the lottery from 14 to 16 teams. Teams that do not qualify for the playoffs or play-in tournament but stay out of the relegation zone (spots four through 10) would receive three lottery balls each. Teams with a bottom-three record -- the relegation zone -- would have just two lottery balls but have a floor of the 12th pick while the rest of the 13 lottery teams could fall as far as the 16th pick. The 9th and 10th play-in seeds in each conference receive two lottery balls each while the losers of the 7-8 play-in games receive one lottery ball each. In addition, no team would be able to win the top pick in consecutive years or be able to win three consecutive top-five picks. Teams also would not be able to protect picks in the 12 to 15 slots going forward.
