There is going to need to be a fundamental change in the way software is distributed and monetized. There needs to be a way for vibe coders to distribute their apps and get paid for them in different channels than the traditional ones. A new marketplace where you can pay to download the code and remix it to your liking with the understanding of that it won't be reliable or even secure.

The essence of programming has never been how fast you could write code, but how fast you could read code. AI exacerbates this. It’s usually easier to read code that you wrote tho and what separates good code from bad code is how quickly you can read and understand it.

I try to order in English at a local cafe in Bangkok. The staff starts to call over the English speaking staff. I just switch to ordering in Thai. The English speaking staff is no longer needed. Little moments like this when learning a language make it feel worth it.

What's great about AI coding is that you can redesign the tools you use on a daily basis to perfectly fit your needs. As a digital nomad I can often lose track of how I'm spending my time. I've been working on a minimalist calendar that I can use to backfill how I spent days.
