The two Gaza wars The war in Gaza is actually two separate wars Israel is fighting a military war with military goals, the release of the hostages, the dismantling of Hamas' military capacities, etc Hamas is fighting a completely different war, a PR war, a war on public opinion in the west, a war that's being played out on social media platforms and on mass media outlets. The perverse thing is that both sides are winning their respective wars. Israel is winning on the ground. Hamas is using Israel's progress to fuel its amazingly effective propaganda. They are using the fertile antisemitic soil that is everywhere in the west, mainly on the progressive left and in the media Their endless refusals for a ceasefire, their disinterest in the plight of their own people is telling. The suffering of Gazans is a tool. They want the Palestinians to suffer more than Israelis do (as one can expect after October 7). The more they suffer, the more effective their propaganda is. Israel CANNOT win the PR war Hamas CANNOT win the military war When these wars will be over, Gaza will be rubble and so will be Israel's reputation Everyone wins and everyone loses. What can be done? If I were to make decisions, I would multiply 100 fold the efforts in eliminating the Hamas heads in Qatar. Whatever the cost. With their "political" head gone, dealing with the ground (and underground) terrorists will be much easier. Rafah MUST be invaded and the war must be finished completely. It must be done with the knowledge that the PR war is lost in any case, and that rebuilding it will take years. Once that phase is over, the only hope is that the Palestinians will realize their support for Hamas, and their desire to annihilate Israel, brought them back to the stone age, and that the only positive future for them lies in accepting Israel's right to exist. Will they be smart enough to see that? I have serious doubts

Sometimes I lose all hope and I feel physically sick and unable to function. It happened today because of Oscar's ceremony. Because of self-hating Jew who blamed Israel for October 7.
