Echoing everything I said here when he retired. RIP John Sterling. A true Yankee legend who’s been part of so many big memories in my life. There will never be another. Put him Monument Park and the Hall Of Fame. He is broadcasting royalty

John Sterling will forever be a Yankees legend. He is synonymous with Yankee baseball. The home run calls, "Theeeeeeeee Yankees win", the stories, the wrong calls, the genuine passion for the team, all of it made him the perfect Yankee announcer. I have so many childhood memories of listening to him call games on the radio. I also got to meet/interview him a dew times and was genuinely starstruck. Just an incredibly nice guy who was exactly what you'd expect. I got his phone number when I was a beat reporter for Fordham then two years later called him when we were at Spring Training for the @short_porch and asked if he we could interview him. He said "Sure. I'll meet you in my hotel lobby in an hour." A true legend who deserves a spot in Monument Park. Yankees better win the World Series this year as a retirement gift.

Meet Judge Deadra Jefferson of South Carolina.
She handed a child predator a one-day sentence for possessing nearly 1,900 images and videos of children being sexually abused. He was facing sixty years in prison. He served twenty-four hours.
Judge Jefferson was elected to the bench by the South Carolina Legislature in 1996, under the same lawyer-legislator system that still hand-picks the judges who rule on cases brought by their own colleagues.
