Just so I’m clear…
ABC knowingly cast a person who was arrested very recently for domestic violence…and then pulled the show after finding out people didn’t want to watch a domestic abuser find love.

@NextBestPicture @howatdk I'm expecting Alexander Payne’s Somwhere In Time to be a player if it's released this year. I imagine he's targeting a Venice release after heading the Jury last year. Could have Double Renate Reinsve films in contention with Fjord too.

It took 57 years to go from the first triple-winner (Brennan in 1940) to the fourth (Nicholson in 1997).
It took 14 years to go from the fifth triple-winner (Streep in 2011) to the eighth (Penn in 2025).

But in the last 14 years, that list has doubled: Streep, Day-Lewis, McDormand, Penn.
