True love is nice and all but there is no escaping the transactions because the transactions are you. Not the other person.
Don't try and escape the transaction. Instead try and understand the truth. There is no transaction.
Lean into them. Make impeccable transactions. Let each transaction speak of your effervescent love and overflowing cheer. Transact like a mad person in a system of accounting of your own.
See if the transactions don't disappear.

Always shocked when potential incoming VCs force their preferences on startups. They of course have the right to say yes or no to the company as it stands. I also understand (though don't like) them saying "we will invest if you do XYZ". It is when they make these demands without making a commitment that they appear most high-handed. "If you do XYZ we will *consider* you for investment". If this is how they behave pre-investment, imagine what they will be like on your board.

Scientists put fitness trackers on arctic ground squirrels. They were not prepared for the results. Female squirrels worked non-stop. Her name is S. Revathi.
She was a head constable at Sathankulam police station in June 2020.
She was on night duty the night Jayaraj and Bennix were brought in.
She watched her colleagues beat them through the entire night.
She saw the bloodstained lathis. She saw the bloodstained table.
She gave Jayaraj water when he asked for it.
At midnight she called her husband and told him what was happening.
When the judicial magistrate came to investigate she was terrified.
Her male colleagues stood outside the room trying to listen to her statement.
They intimidated the magistrate himself.
She signed her statement anyway.
The Madras High Court ordered police protection for her and her family the same day.
She told reporters she did not want any of this publicity.
She said she was ready to face dismissal.
She was not dismissed.
She testified again in court in 2022.
Yesterday 9 police officers were sentenced to death.
Her statement in 2020 is the reason that sentence exists.
Nobody will say her name today.

One of the most brutal realities of the male experience that nobody talks about is the absolute "affection desert" they live in. A woman can get a hug, a genuine compliment, and deep emotional support from her platonic friends on a random Tuesday. A man can go an entire calendar year without another human being touching his arm, asking if he's okay, or giving him a sincere compliment. We’ve built a society where a man only gets to experience basic human warmth if he is actively providing for a partner. Outside of that, he is completely invisible.
