@GoodShepherd316 Ignorant statement.
So when Paul tells the Thess church "We shall meet Him in the air", he was full of crap because that event did not happen to THEM?
Either Paul lied to them or they met Jesus in the air 2000 yrs ago.
2 Tim 2:15:

There is coming a time when in the twinkling of an eye when all Preterists, Amillenials, deniers of Dispensations, deniers of Grace, deniers of the Harpazo Event, all who believed the church had replaced Israel, all who have put their faith in their works to save them, all who were fooled into thinking they had more time will say;
“You know what, they were right” !
Today is the day of Salvation;
believe the Gospel NOW
believe JESUS paid it all
Saved by Grace thru faith in CHRIST alone.
You are running out of time.

@blockchainchick Careful Heidi.
Biblical "end times" or "last days" always refer to the end times OF THE ANIMAL SACRIFICE SYSTEM.
The last days happened 2000 yrs ago (Heb 1:1) when the Lamb of God arrived! Animal sacrifice was done - Jesus paid the price!
Blessings dear sister!

THE EUPHRATES IS DRYING UP. RIVERS TURNED TO BLOOD. BEES JUST SHUT DOWN THE ISRAELI MILITARY.
Every single biblical end times prophecy is converging. Right now. Simultaneously. In our lifetime.
This is not a coincidence.
Read every word of this.

@weatherb88 Incorrect?
Are you suggesting John is incorrect when he declares who he is writing to?
Rev 1:4 "John, to the seven churches which are in Asia:
Grace to you" . . .
English

@weatherb88 Respectfully, where in Rev does John tell the 7 Churches of Asia minor that they are representative of church ages?
If we read Revelation 1:4 we can only draw one conclusion as to who the Book was written to. John makes no comments about Rev being written to anybody BUT them
English

@Rapture_Ready @simonateba Appreciate your thoughts
Can we agree that Jesus was speaking directly to His disciples in answering the questions they asked in Mt 24:3?
If so, Jesus tells them that they would see the great tribulation in their lifetime vs 21.
Peter declares Joel was fulfilled - Acts 2:16
English

@htani96831 @simonateba It sounds like you're saying that 70 AD was the worst period of time in all of Jewish history and a fulfillment of Isaiah 61:2, Jeremiah 30:7 Daniel 12:1, Joel 2:2 and Matthew 24:21? How do you explain Daniel's unfilled 70th week and the book of Revelation?
English

@weatherb88 Hey Bill, appreciate your sense and mutual respect as bros in Christ.
John was giving the 7 churches a heads up of the looming torments associated w the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD. No verses suggest anything but that clear context - John is very specific.
Blessings!
English

@htani96831 Preterismlies.blogspot.com explains all of this.
Rev 1 tells of prophecy beginning to start, not that the whole would be fulfilled in the 1st century.
English

@weatherb88 Hey Bill.
What chapter and verse in Rev tells the 7 churches that not all of what Alpha Omega speaks to them will not take place in their generation?
Conversely, Rev 1:1 - Jesus declares what must shortly be done and addresses that fact to the 7 churches 1:4 w specificity.
English

@weatherb88 Appreciate your thoughts.
Where in Revelation does John tell the 7 churches that they are in part or entirely representative of ecclesiastical history?
What does the context tell us Rev 1:1, 4? It tells the 7 churches of stuff they are about to see, does it not?
English

@Rapture_Ready @simonateba Who asked Jesus questions and who is He responding to specifically Mt 24:1-2?
He tells them they would see the great tribulation in their lifetime 24:20-21 (notice the pronoun "your" in vs 20)
Israel judged in finality in AD 70 when the Temple was destroyed (Mt 24:3)
English

@htani96831 @simonateba Is there a coming period of 7 years (described in MANY places as the worst period of time in human history - Matt. 24:21), during which Israel and the nations will be judged (Daniel's 70th week)?
English

@Rapture_Ready @simonateba Appreciate your thoughts.
John wrote his epistle to address the setting for the believers.
Antichrist was there to dissuade believers that Jesus was the Lamb of God, hence Anti (against) Christ - it was the last time of the animal sacrifice system 2000 yrs ago (1 Jn 2:18).
English

@htani96831 @simonateba antichrist is alive and well ... it's in our face every day and in every way. But there is one man coming who will be indwelt with Satan - and he will wreak havoc on the world for 7 years.

English

@weatherb88 Rev was written to the 7 churches in Asia minor 2000 yrs ago of stuff they were about to see 1:1, 4 - a heads up from Jesus in order to prepare.
When the pastors read John's letter, the congragants didn't chuckle and whisper not to worry, the horrors were for future generations
English

@NowTheEndBegins End times OF WHAT?
Biblical end times or last days are always associated with the end times OF THE ANIMAL SACRIFICE SYSTEM - THE LAMB OF GOD HAD COME.
Jesus came 2000 yrs ago - that was the "last days" of the animal sacrifice system.
Keep it in context
English

@DrShayPhD Bla bla bla.
Paul wrote to the church in Thess 2000 yrs ago (not you). Warnings, Signs were for their benefit in real time - a heads up for them (not you).
2 Thess describes the wedding of Jesus. You need to study Scripture in context.

WHO IS THE MAN OF SIN?
In 2 Thessalonians 2:3, Paul said that before Christ returns there would be a falling away and the “man of sin” would be revealed. That means that a major departure from Bible truth would come first. Paul was pointing to a power that would rise out of professed Christianity itself.
Then, Apostle Paul gives the identifying marks. He said, this power would exalt itself above God, that rhe power would place itself in a position of spiritual authority inside the temple of God, and that it would work through deception, signs, and false wonders (2 Thessalonians 2:4, 9 to 10). Paul also calls it the Son of Perdition. Son of Perdition is a title that points to betrayal from within, not an attack from the outside (John 17:12). Judas was called by the same name.
The man of sin is not about atheism or false religion in general. This is about corruption growing inside the visible church. History paints a clearer picture. As the Roman Empire faded, the church of Rome gained more and more religious and political power. Over time, its leaders claimed authority that belongs to God alone, including the right to define doctrine beyond Scripture, forgive sins through priestly systems, and bind consciences by human tradition. That is why many of the Reformers, including Martin Luther, John Calvin, and John Wesley, identified the “man of sin” as the papacy. They were not talking about every Catholic individual. They were talking about the office and system when it exalted itself above the Word of God.
Paul’s warning also lines up with Daniel and Revelation. When you cross-reference and compare 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 with Daniel 7:8, 19-26 and Revelation 13:1-18, the parallels are obvious. All three describe a blasphemous religious power that rises after pagan Rome, speaks great things, opposes God, and misleads many. Daniel, Paul, and John are not describing three diffetent enemies. They are pointing to the same power, the papacy.
Paul also says the mystery of lawlessness was already working in his day (2 Thessalonians 2:7). The seeds were already there, starting out, while the apostles were still alive, 2000 years ago. That means the system did not appear overnight. It is about 2000 years old. What church is around 2000 years old? This system, therefore, developed slowly, as truth was pushed aside and human authority took its place. Jesus warned about that very thing when He said, “In vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men” (Matthew 15:9).
Even so, Paul does not leave the church without hope. He says the Lord Himself will consume this power “with the breath of His mouth” and destroy it “with the brightness of His coming” (2 Thessalonians 2:8). Christ will expose every counterfeit. He will bring every false system down. Truth will not lose. The greatest danger to the church is not always pressure from the outside. Many times it is compromise from the inside.
Fact is any church that starts lifting tradition above Scripture, chasing political power, or replacing Christ’s authority with human control is walking the road of apostasy. That is why believers must test every teaching by the Word of God and stay grounded in what the apostles taught (2 Thessalonians 2:15).
The man of sin in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 is not best understood as one future individual for a short season. It is a long-standing apostate religious power that rose from within Christianity, exalted human authority above Scripture, and matches the prophetic marks given in Daniel 7 and Revelation 13. That is why students of prophecy know that this is the papal system.
English

@DrShayPhD Huh?
So the papacy was alive and well when John spoke of the Antichrist 2000 yrs ago (1 Jn 2:18)?
