@GlobalTechFM @NeoKoi_Prints What do you mean by that question? They are fake filaments used to setup the color stacking. Then you use real filaments on the Color Core to set up your blending for the print.

@PluralMakes There are jigs for minifig printing that I think account for some of this. Maybe check out the community built around E1 and Lego? I bet printing jigs to make parts more flat is the meta.

@joeltelling @3dpdoctor I talked to him for a bit. Though I swear I've seen this before in a paper from Michigan Tech - it wasn't in a nice box or fully enclosed.
Reminded me of the Cold Powder printer by Spe3d (I think that's the name) where you make a rough part and then machine it to spec.

@woodtechwill @NeoKoi_Prints Interesting. You do this from the image file then? It's literally just a median filter, kind of surprised there isn't a better tool for that TBH

@NeoKoi_Prints @hueforge I use it to filter outlier pixels from depth maps before Fusion 360 imports. Saves hours of manual mesh cleanup on lithophanes with z-axis spikes.

They waived the $280 for me to check my carry on as an extra bag and let me off with a stern ‘next time don’t bring wire in your carry on’

@AshleyMay236809 Yes, he's got the current BambuStudio, OrcaSlicer, Creality Print, Snorca, and I think Anycubic Slicer as well as PrusaSlicer working.
That list should tell you why this is a really fun task. It's the standard that isn't standard.

Adam has been working on making your HueForge dreams come true. One of a few third-party plugins in progress (helping to flesh out the API), pretty soon you will be able to support a community member and save your HueForges as 3mfs instead of just STLs.

Yall if you fly Qantas, make sure you don’t get a security officer on a power trip who things a spool of TPU filament is a ‘weapon’ and won’t let you take it in your carry on
