I’ve always loved the rolling green hills of the Highlands, not realising that it’s been at the expense of such devastating deforestation. Scotland used to be covered in forests but is now only a fraction of what it was due to a variety of factors. 2/3

I spent last week planting trees in the #ScottishHighlands with @treesforlifeuk - an amazing #conservation org worth following & supporting. The week in numbers: - 12 volunteers - 500 young trees planted - 16,000 seedlings pricked & ready for planting
