@HIEI_FUSSBALL @jonwiz000 @DarkerArcher Because he was impatient. He had Katara take Appa instead to meet everyone, they chastise him for not waiting. Aang being impatient when it comes to the air nomads was a recurring theme in this movie.

This is what I mean when I say the movie felt like LOK reskinned. Half the Gaang is unnecessary. Aang has to hold that first L and Katara has to be there to revive him. Zuko and his airship are superfluous, Toph does nothing, and Sokka's contribution is making me miss Jack
Ritan Man@ManRitan

Outside of Aang film continuing the Legend of Korra trend of taking og Avatar and doing a complete retcons to the lore, flandarization of certain characters and rehashing worst elements of Korra only less bad now My other gripe is wtf was the point of Zuko in the film?

@Playxious @WARDEVILHQ @GregBaldwinIroh Can’t you see that they already count it as a dud? You guys suddenly want to be all self righteous when people refuse to sub to paramount, but where was your energy when they pulled the movie from theaters MONTHS ago or the fact that they haven’t promoted the movie at all?

@WARDEVILHQ @GregBaldwinIroh They may have been paid but if paramount doesn't make revenue from the movie they won't make more. They'll count it as a dud... Just support the official release too.

Its almost like this is Aang written by the people who did Korra He's not himself in this movie at all and the entire movie repeats the same problems Korra had when it came to portraying the Avatar's strength.
Mael-DXT@Qliphoth2002

"Korra is hot headed. She wouldn't listen to her team mates and she is just trusting her uncle who she has known all her life" Aang is hot headed. He wouldn't listen to his WIFE and FRIENDS and trusted a complete stranger he just met. 😭😭😭😭😭

@JustmeOnly_1v @Lockst3p Yeah it’s almost like change and balance were the entire themes or something idk. If Korra never opened the portals they never would have merged during harmonic convergence and we wouldn’t have airbenders. Sometimes change needs to happen, so balance can occur

@JustmeOnly_1v @Lockst3p You’re getting closer. If you’re acknowledging that wan closing the portals wasn’t necessarily a good thing, then logically it follows that Korra reopening them isn’t necessarily a bad thing, and you arguing the past god knows how may hours that it was a bad thing is moot.

@hughbileee @Lockst3p Exactly I have legit gone over this repeatedly Jesus fucking Christ just cause two avatars have done similar things doesn’t make it better everyone who has an issue with korra compares her to her direct last life not wan who also made stupid head strong decisions and was at fault

@JustmeOnly_1v @Lockst3p You implied it by saying Korra opening the portals was a bad thing. Korra just went back to how it was before Wan.

@hughbileee @Lockst3p Where did I say wan did a good thing ? He already made a mistake of interfering with the world thinking he knew better the world had found stability in its chaos and korra has done exactly the same thing again none where good choices one is just fucking fresh

@JustmeOnly_1v @Lockst3p You’re starting to understand, but let’s go further. Who said balance didn’t exist? Wan was the one who disrupted Raava and Vaatu. Wan took it upon himself to be the bridge, but before humans were protected by lion turtles. He is no different than Korra.

@hughbileee @Lockst3p Why did the balance no exist when the portals where open initial there will never be true balance in that world neither her choice no wans choice was better it just disrupts the existing balance in hopes of creating a new one which causes chaos and a repeat of events

@JustmeOnly_1v @Lockst3p So this idea that Wan did a good thing is based on what? With the portals closed both worlds were still under threat. Zhao himself almost threw everything into disarray. The world didnt fully rebalance from the fire nation until Korra opened the portals and HC happened.

@JustmeOnly_1v @Lockst3p For example, Raava and Vaatu, the portals being open, humans living amongst spirits was something that existed LONG before wan. Wan was the one who inserted himself between light and dark, wan was the agent of change, wan decided to make himself the bridge. Issues still persisted

@midnightsCole @Eatmyc00chho Katara noted in the very beginning that Tagah, a non bender who was given bending by the staff, had abnormally high amounts of chi. Aang in the very beginning acknowledges that all of them were at base already incredible fighters. Please connect the dots, this is embarrassing.

@Eatmyc00chho My jaw dropped when those bandits began airbending like a pro like they have been mastering airbending all their life. The writers of this movie have shits in their brain fr.

@JustmeOnly_1v @Lockst3p No, wan took it upon himself to close the portals as the solution. It didn’t work. Korra realizes it wasn’t working, and is even re-affirmed by Toph later on there will ALWAYS be conflict no matter which choice you make. However the portals staying open at least allowed balance.

@hughbileee @Lockst3p The portals where open before and problems arouse leading to them being closed opening them again doesn’t magically make it the better choice the airbenders getting their powers was only a pro due to past circumstances and even that created problems

@JustmeOnly_1v @Lockst3p @AquaDefiant @dr_phalanges @LookAtMyMeat1 Basing an argument on what-if instead of actual evidence is fallacious. You can’t substantiate a “what-if”. You’re saying I’m biased but I’m basing my claims off actual in-world evidence, you’re basing it off assumptions of things that haven’t happened yet or made up scenarios

@JustmeOnly_1v @Lockst3p My argument is based on the information that closing the portals did not achieve balance. Like I said. Good and bad exists between both humans and spirits. You’re only acknowledging the bad spirits.

@hughbileee @Lockst3p We also have various spirits who actively harm people infact almost every spirit in atla aside orgins like the moon spirits harmed people one way or the other so your argument would be based on the assumption that everybody just lives happily ever after

@JustmeOnly_1v @Lockst3p Korra opened the portals and harmonic convergence happened with them open, the world began to reset itself, the airbenders came back. People started to understand the spirits. Nobody said change was going to be easy.

@JustmeOnly_1v @Lockst3p You’re looking only at the bad. But I can do that too, look to what Kuruk did, look to the fire nation, Hei bai, zhao killing the moon spirit, Unalaq manipulated spirits to attack balance was never achieved with the portals closed over 10,000 years. Korra realized this.
