An arrest is not a ruling of guilty otherwise by your logic, should we now say that Eddy Mutwe and Mufumbiro are now guilty of their crimes because they were arrested?

An arrest is just that, and anyone can be a suspect but if one is not convicted or in the case of @ReachDrMuganga not prosecuted at all, then they shouldn’t have to answer for anything.

It is funny how fast political tunes change on social media.
Not too long ago,foot soldiers were over the moon celebrating Zohran Mamdani making history as the first Ugandan born Mayor of New York City, completely brushing off his dual citizenship. But fast forward to today, and those same supporters are up in arms.
Now, they are complaining and questioning how Dr. Lawrence Muganga can be appointed as the Minister of State for Internal Affairs because of his dual citizenship even though they don't even have their facts straight about it. Apparently, it is a proud moment when an Ugandan wins big abroad, but a massive crisis when a dual citizen gets a major role back home.

It hasn’t been even 24 hours since the naming of the cabinet. The opposition can’t name a leader of opposition and its shadow cabinet before government cabinet. And the appointments committee also hasn’t been instituted yet. It isn’t composed only of the LOP.

Dr. Muganga’s grandparents came to Uganda before independence, before there was even a Ugandan passport or Ugandan citizenship to speak of. So he is a 3rd generation Ugandan.(In Luganda they call these ones, Kasangwawo, Kawo ka dda)
He studied on gov’t scholarship at MUK for bachelor’s and that is not given to foreigners.
He has openly spoken about his citizenship issues in the media so you can do your research online and find all the interviews he has done about this.

Btw Whats the difference between state minister and cabinet minister? Av seen people say a ministers role is just administrative, so does that mean their role is minor?
