Can someone smarter than me explain why this is happening? Genuinely curious I thought crypto was supposed to protect you against decline in the dollar The dollar hegemony is starting to show cracks but the asset class is tanking. How does that make sense? Meanwhile gold, silver and copper are having their best years in a very long time. So what even is the thesis behind crypto anymore?

This morning, I joined @PIX11News to announce a new executive order requiring every city agency to designate a Chief Savings Officer. Within 45 days, these officers will identify which city services deliver the strongest results for New Yorkers—and where we can streamline processes and cut waste. The goal is simple: make sure every public dollar works harder to deliver a safer, cleaner, and more affordable city.

I voted HELL NO on the Department of Homeland Security appropriations legislation. With this bill, it is now clear that Donald Trump and Republicans slashed Americans’ health care funding to write a blank check for cruelty and impunity.

Americans are being told to accept higher health care costs so this Administration can maintain their reckless and unaccountable enforcement agenda without meaningful reforms or guardrails for ICE and CBP.   Democrats have raised repeated concerns about unlawful practices, lack of transparency, and deadly harm to families and communities. Those concerns have been ignored.

We can fund our security without abandoning our values, but this bill fails that test.

Trump just surrendered to Europe. There is no “new deal” or “new framework” for Greenland. He’s backing down and giving up. NATO prevails.

@gummibear737 If you can actually extract the value underneath all that ice the acquisition pays for itself pretty quickly. Regarding reputation and trust - Both mean little at the big boy table. Most important thing is what you’re capable of - good or bad. That’s how you’re measured.

I think Trump eventually gets a deal done on Greenland, but I’ll go on record now in saying that it will be not be worth the price of what this approach will cost the America in the long term It takes decades to build reputation and trust, which you can lose in a second
