In 1984, I was operating a steam injection facility SW of Fort Mac into an experimental well to test the concept of heat into the recovery of bitumen reserves. It's impressive and gratifying to see where thermal SAGD is now compared to that.

@Tony__Clark @CarrieTait Yes. The NDP sponsoring the referendum question on the other side of the question is wildly inappropriate.

Fraser Institute study: $170/tonne industrial carbon tax by 2030 would slash Alberta GDP 2% ($1,730 per worker), wipe out 10,000+ jobs, and hammer energy sectors hardest (electricity -6.9%, refined fuels -6.1%). Capital earnings crash 10.8%, gutting investment and our kids’ future. The world needs Alberta's our oil & gas more than ever—yet Carney Liberals force this harm on us anyway. This is exactly why Alberta must vote for independence. For our kids' future. #AlbertaIndependence Estimated Impacts of a $170 Industrial Carbon Price in Alberta and Canada fraserinstitute.org/studies/estima…

I’m ready to fight like hell for this country, and against anyone trying to tear it apart. The richest man in the world wants Canada to become the 51st state and is now amplifying Alberta separatism. So let’s ask the question: Who is funding this movement? Albertans deserve to know.

Can politicians grow the economy? I’m skeptical, but governments can create the conditions for growth. So, what have we done? We lowered personal income taxes down to 8%, saving families an extra $1,500 per year allowing families to keep more of what they earn. 💰 We secured a landmark energy MOU with Ottawa setting the conditions for new pipelines. 🛢️ We have also provided more certainty to ratepayers in our electricity market so to shield them from spiking prices. 💡 Our agri-processing investment tax credit is helping our farmers and ranchers get more Alberta products to market. 🌾 We brought down your rent by helping the private sector build new homes, faster. 🏠 A growing economy means we can strengthen our core services like healthcare and education, seniors care, and infrastructure. 👨‍⚕️ On top of this, Alberta is up 85,000 jobs over the past year. ⬆️ And we’re just starting.

Albertans need to gather up our courage and vote for independence this fall. Canada has failed, and will drag us into a socialist disaster.
Rebel News@RebelNewsOnline

Could Alberta actually leave? Keith Wilson joins Glenn Beck Americans with an interest in their northern neighbours are curiously looking on, wondering about the possibility of Alberta breaking away from the rest of Canada to create a new province. @glennbeck raised the subject with @ikwilson during the prominent Alberta independence activist and constitutional lawyer's appearance on Blaze Media's The Glenn Beck Program. “Is there enough support in Alberta to actually get that done,” Beck asked, in addition to whether Wilson actually thought “Canada would allow” the province, “the Texas of Canada,” to leave Confederation. Wilson pointed to the unique legal framework in Canada, which allows a province the ability to exit through a referendum. “If a clear majority of voters within a province vote on a clear question for independence, that triggers two routes to independence,” the constitutional law expert said. “One is the parties have to enter into good faith negotiations, meaning Alberta needs to go into a meeting room with the federal government and the other provinces and say, 'alright, we've got national parks here; we've got military bases in Alberta. We'll pay you, the federal government, a certain amount of money for those bases and national parks,'” Wilson explained. “The other path is if the parties don't enter into good faith negotiations,” he continued, noting that was “something we're very concerned about here in Alberta.” This route could see a “unilateral declaration of independence,” something that “relies on international recognition,” he cautioned. “If the United States and other countries are prepared to recognize Alberta independence, it creates a clear pathway,” Wilson told the American host. Wilson and Beck also discussed two other federal policies that are contentious in Alberta — the Liberal government's gun grab and its continued expansion of the Medical Assistance in Dying program. Independence campaigners assert they've collected enough signatures to trigger the citizen-led referendum, with a vote expected to take place in fall 2026.
