Paul Toboni said he was watching yesterday’s game in his suite and had a pretty good feel the trade was going to happen. He said when Mead was taking his last AB part of him wanted to cry. You can tell he loves Mead the guy. Also said he thinks he’s going to continue to play at this level moving forward.

@jowole1216 Time will reveal all. Not expecting to see Early pitch this year either which makes it suck even more. Combing all of this with the probable sells of foster and luis, the team will see some dark days to end the season

@hurricaneterp7 I get it, but when you’re the best offense in baseball you also probably can afford to trade bats for pitching. They might also see something in House (although I’m not sure I do).

@jowole1216 I see nothing in House. Platoon bat at best and probably a AAAA player. I do think is a bigger part of this offenses success than people realize as well

@jowole1216 I just never see him beyond a middle of the rotation guy. I get the upside but ill always take the bat over the pitcher

@hurricaneterp7 It’s Early’s first full season, and he has a decent 4.04 SIERA and 4.14 xFIP. There are certainly flaws, but he has good stuff (103 stuff+ on FG and 101 on TJStats), and he gets some whiff. Toboni also was involved in drafting Early so I imagine he sees development opportunity.
