@BCOldham We were there with our children and Kamsy and Ollie spoke superbly about the challenges faced by Y7 pupils and how they have overcome them. They are a credit to your school and added to a wonderful service for the Y6 pupils.

Earlier, Kamsy and Ollie attended Manchester Cathedral and spoke beautifully at the Year 6 Leavers' Service about their experience of moving up to secondary school. We're certain that they've reassured the young people that they're about to start the best 7 years of their lives.

This afternoon 35 primary school pupils attended @AshtonUnitedFC v Bamber Bridge to mark the end of six week @LiteracyKicks programmes. The children - many who had never been to a live sporting event before - used the skills they’d learnt to become reporters for the day

Our six weeks working with Year 5 at @hurstknollstja ended this morning with some terrific opinion pieces on sports stars and politics. It’s been a super half-term becoming sports journalists back at the school, in partnership with @AshtonUnitedFC, @smallshawhurst and @AUITC ✍️📰

The Year 5 students at @hurstknollstja have this morning researched the history of women’s football and then written excellent newspaper features on it, from the amazing Lily Parr through to the incredible Lionesses. In partnership with @AUITC and @smallshawhurst

Year 5 @hurstknollstja used their sports journalism skills to write features on Paralympic icon Tatyana McFadden today after learning all about her incredible life. The whole class produced excellent work. In partnership with @smallshawhurst @AUITC and @savechildrenuk ✍️📰

Some fantastic art work in our class today! These are ‘Art Maps’ of our local area. We chose to put only the things we notice and that stand out to us on. They are just amazing!!

Today was a day of sunshine and making memories. The whole school went to Lytham St. Anne’s and had an amazing time. Thanks to all the people that helped to make this happen.
