This is an absolutely obscene amount of money for a state-level ballot initiative.
Screams two things:
1. National Democrats are absolutely panicking about the gerrymandering amendment failing. You don’t divert $30M from vulnerable incumbents if you’re confident.
2. This amount of money could absolutely swing the election. Republicans don’t need to match Democrats, but they do need to compete… and right now, that’s not happening.
Still a lot of time left, but the money advantage is starting to make a difference. National Republicans need to respond NOW.
