The Oxford Union has invited Laurence Fox to debate alongside Tommy Robinson on whether “the West is right to be suspicious of Islam.” Genuine question: Do you think they would ever invite people to debate whether “the West is right to be suspicious of Judaism?”

@5Pillarsuk Those who disagree with him should prove him wrong in a debate. We must be able to challenge and debate each other. We must keep discussing challenging issues with those we disagree with.

Hundreds of people have signed an open letter urging the Oxford Union to disinvite far-right Islamophobe Tommy Robinson for a debate on “suspicions” towards Islam, with local bishops and imams joining the appeal calling it “untimely and divisive”. 5pillarsuk.com/2026/05/21/hun…

@PoliticsJOE_UK He’s unintentionally proving the problem with multiculturalism. In war, groups unite against a common enemy. In peace, groups organise around ethnic, religious, or cultural interests instead of a shared national identity. Monoculturalism creates stronger cohesion.

Across the country, free breakfast clubs are saving parents £450 and boosting children’s life chances. Will Reform councils back Nigel Farage in his attempt to close these clubs, pinch money from parents and take food out of local children’s mouths? sunderlandecho.com/news/people/su…

NEW: There are now 35,000 fewer illegal migrants in asylum hotels – a 63% decrease since September 2023. At its peak, 400 asylum hotels were in use, costing the taxpayer £9 million a day. All asylum hotels will close their doors to illegal migrants for good.

In times of greatest peril our country has been capable of doing big things. We still can. Britain used to punch above its weight in the world. We still can. Each generation used to provide a better future for the next. We still can.

@owenjonesjourno The asylum system should be abolished. Most of the illegals are economic migrants who take advantage of the asylum system. It’s not sustainable.

We know that families are still feeling the cost of living pressure, so we’re delivering immediate support. Free bus travel for children this August and action to cut the cost of everyday food. Helping families get through the holidays and putting money back into people’s pockets.

Restore Britain has been labelled an 'openly far-right' party by the Guardian. If being 'openly far-right' means deporting foreign rapists/scumbags, whilst not allowing our country to descend further into a third world hellhole? Then yes, sign us up - that's Restore Britain.

“A nationalist is someone who prioritizes the interests, culture, identity, sovereignty, and well-being of their own nation (or people) above those of other nations or global institutions.” What’s wrong with that? Am I missing something?

@RmSalih I think all direct religious messaging should be kept out of politics. That goes for all religions. The message was nice but you can take nice passages from any religious book, ignoring that there are atrocities in all of them I’ve read. I certainly don’t want to hear any singing

This wholesome message at a Birmingham council meeting about the importance of cooperation, moderation and working together harmoniously has really triggered the far right. I can only assume it is because they hate Muslims.

@Keir_Starmer I'm sick of hearing about cost of living. It is a problem, but the much bigger issue is the stagnation/decline of GDP per capita. Everything is getting more expensive, but the wages are not increasing. What are you doing to tackle that?

@BritIndianVoice NHS was founded post-WW2 when Britain was 99% native British. Please stop saying you built it. If you want to contribute, that's great, but stop trying to say that you are better than the native British people. Have some respect and you will receive it in return.

Jonathan Conricus@jconricus

Yesterday, @piersmorgan tried the old “gotcha” on me with an odd clip from the “Unite the Kingdom” March. I think it exposed a basic flaw in institutional thinking in the UK: a fear to call out Islamism.

Good news: inflation has fallen today. Our action to reduce energy bills - with the price cap dropping by £117 - means inflation is now lower. There’s more to do - this government is delivering for Britain.

@darrenpjones Build nuclear and start getting oil and gas from the North Sea. No more wind farms or solar panels covering farm land. It should only be built on existing brownfield sites. End green subsidies for green energy companies.

Inflation is down today, in part thanks to action we've taken on energy bills. But the price of electricity is still set by global gas rates, despite half of our electricity coming from renewables. So we're taking steps to fix that too. Let me explain 👇
