As a carer, this is so wonderful to hear. I challenge anyone to work a 12-hour shift on a secure dementia/ Alzheimers ward and tell me our work isn’t skilled and shouldn’t be highly respected and valued.

Most of the migrants are fully qualified and most of them are nurses from countries that have their qualifications not recognised in this country... So most of them earn pennies and have to start again

Pay should be decided by supply and demand. No government can decide what someone “should” be paid.
