If 'Former Roman Catholic' were a denomination, it would be the 3rd largest in the world.
Not only is Rome not growing, it is bleeding out faster than many of the rapidly-declining mainlines.
Really, (and lamentably) the lowest-Church Protestants, such as Charismatics, are the only ones growing significantly at all.
I don't say this as an "own". My own tradition is not exactly exploding.
I'm saying it because what you bring someone into your tradition with... is also what needs to hold them there.
If you bring converts in with lies.
Those very lies will be the thing that drives them away.
And it may drive them away from faith entirely.
