@Thazhigilla_ Leaving the core Anatomy to be asking questions in Medicine, Paeds, Pathology & Pharmac. When these students get to clinicals, the lecturers will be wondering why they have a weak foundation in the basic medical sciences. I really don't know what some schools are trying to prove

University of Jos Anatomy Department actually wants to reduce the population of doctors in Nigeria, because what in the judgment day is this paper?! 😭💀 All the ‘Doctor-in-the-making’ on X, please what’s your diagnosis and causative organism?👇🏾

@Thazhigilla_ @Osas_000 It should have ended with the lumbar puncture and vertebra level. That makes more sense for Anatomy They could just ask "what anatomical structures are encountered in a lumbar puncture"

Med students and doctors, is this a safe space? Pharmacology is my favourite subject (it beats community health and surgery).😭

@iMaurice @BubaL1767 @guzzpoch To start with It's almost impossible to get 85 in MB Low-key MB distinction stops at 80 His point was that the result was better than someone that did extremely well in two then failed the last one

@BubaL1767 @iMaurice @guzzpoch Hmmmm Personally The highest I've seen is someone getting 65 in one course and still ends up failing another course sha......

@kirainsync @PitchSide247 Medicine scapped out viva entirely. They only do written exams (SBAs, essays) + picture test + OSCE. The HOD (who was new as at then) argued OSCE is already all-encompassing and interactive, and viva was rather redundant and irrelevant. In my last MB, O&G seff did not do viva too

@kirainsync @PitchSide247 I can imagine the trauma you went through. It is so unfair Something of that nature happened to a top student in my school (the toxic external examiner denied her distinction in Paediatrics). It was after that incidence that the faculty had to restructure and abolish that thing😂

@kirainsync @PitchSide247 Oh. I'm sorry about that Before you're invited for a distinction viva, your score must have crossed into the distinction range (usually >/=70%) after your main viva. However, if the examiners are not convinced, the score is reduced to less than 70 to deny you the distinction

@kirainsync @PitchSide247 As long as your total average score is within the distinction range, you're automatically awarded. The argument given is that if you're good enough to score up to 70% in the first place, why do you still need to go prove a point in a setting that is not even objective
