Do not be in a hurry to serve, get a job post HJ and start applying for service immediately(you have a job at hand). Influence your state of service, keep revalidating until you get your preferred state(avoid the east), don't just jump into NYSC because you think it is one year, one year is a whole lot. If you cannot influence your PPA from outside, influence it from within, run to camp on time, become CMD(be hard working) and get close to the state cord, you might just be lucky to get posted to your choice PPA. If you are not CMD, participate in your platoon activity, leave the clinic alone, it has too many disadvantages, get so much involved, show interest in becoming the camp corp commandant or director, these positions get you very close to the state cord and give you an opportunity to influence your PPA. Do not be the pawn.
Kayode Alao@alstacs

@ThatCruiseMedic What could he have done differently or better as a doctor in service to avoid the pawn situation?

@Jessseglee The word "well" is curious there and quite telling. If you are worried about being paid "well" you shouldn't enter the profession of medicine.

@Omabilibili @p0tatochipsUu He actually needed to, I am an educator myself and teenage girls can be quite ridiculous. They'll take a simple "No" as you playing 'hard to get' I think it's because of stupid movies and novel that romantise such relationships

You have a two year window to complete your housejob and get permanent license. Using one year to sort your steps is a fantastic plan if funds are not a problem. That said, if funds are not the problem, doing step 1 before graduation is the real deal. Either way you're on the right track champ.

Exactly, i recalled some1 from the NE telling me there is nothing fulani about buhari besides his kids with Aisha😂 meanwhile Buhari looks a billion x more Fula than Aisha, Aisha can fly for a Minority. She is dirk, fat, with kinky heir while Buhari Tall, fair wit curly heir
Mazi Labaran Dawa@LabaranDawa

Very nice observation. I noticed that some Fulanis from the North-East do not even regard Fulanis in the NW and NC as complete. Truly they need to expand their horizons

It's the environment, coupled with the fact that some pronunciations are very difficult for non Northerners to say clearly. For example those not from the North tend to pronounce KaTSina as KaSTina so with time, you may want to pronounce it the way they do especially if you are engaging someone not from the North.

That’s good news. I’m happy. I’ve always maintained there should be 3 Ministers of Education: 1) Minister of Education responsible for tertiary education, overseeing NBTE, Colleges of Education, NUC, JAMB, TETFund, research institutes, and overall national education policy. 2) Minister of State for Education responsible for secondary education, including Unity Schools & related institutions. 3) Minister of State for Education responsible for Universal Basic Education (UBEC), nomadic education, and vocational skills programmes.

Dr. Aisha has transformed UBEC beyond imagination. She has been working tirelessly to ensure our children have everything they deserve. Dan Bello clearly said, “With the support of UBEC”, this will clearly tell you how ready she is to support anything that has to do with the well-being of our children. She’s committed and competent.

@adnanhaido @JaafarSJaafar Do you know the meaning of Haɓe in Fulfulde? It means infidel. How could the Hausa society be called such names, when Islam has been in Hausa land hundreds of years before Ɗanfodio was even born?

Emir Sanusi II is the 59th emir of Kano NOT 16th Emir Sanusi II should be referred to as the 59th Emir of Kano not 16th – unless the history of Kano started after Danfodio Jihad and imposition of Emir Sulaimanu in 1807. From King Bagauda in the 10th Century to Muhammadu Alwali II in 1805, there were at least 42 Haɓe/Hausa rulers documented by history that ruled Kano. Hundreds of years before Jihad, Kano maintained its primacy as a cosmopolitan society and a leading hub of trade and industry in the Central Soudan. The most important symbol of authority of Kano emir – the twin-spear staff – dates back to 12th century pegan rulership. With the exception of Dabo’s Hat and the Sword of Authority (Wuƙar Yanka), most of the symbols of authority used by the present emirs were introduced by the Haɓe kings. King Rumfa (1463–1499), on the advice of Al-Maghili, intoduced the use of turban, mobile parasol, the ostrich plume sandals, etiquette of court sitting (zaman harɗe), salutations, etc. Attempts to erase this history is not only being scornful of the Haɓe rulers but of the long history of Kano spanning over a millinium.

A nigerian state once had three governors at the same time In October 2006, Ekiti State witnessed one of the most absurd chapters in Nigeria’s democratic experiment: a full-blown “three governors” crisis. It began on October 16 when the PDP-controlled Ekiti State House of Assembly impeached Governor Ayodele Fayose and his Deputy, Chief (Mrs) Abiodun Olujimi, over allegations of corruption and gross misconduct. Immediately after, the Speaker of the House, Hon. Friday Aderemi, was sworn in as Acting Governor in line with constitutional provisions. But the matter quickly spiraled into chaos. Fayose rejected the impeachment outright, describing it as illegal, politically motivated, and unconstitutional. He went into hiding but continued to insist he was still the legitimate governor. His deputy, Abiodun Olujimi’s specific legal claim was rooted in the argument that the impeachment process against both her and Fayose was fundamentally flawed and therefore null and void. As Deputy Governor, she maintained that even if Fayose’s removal was upheld, she automatically became the substantive Governor (or at the very least Acting Governor) until a proper process was followed. She challenged her own impeachment in court, resumed duties at the Government House with her security detail intact, and declared herself the authentic authority pending the resolution of the legal disputes. For several hours, Ekiti effectively had three parallel claimants to power: - Embattled Governor Ayodele Fayose - Deputy Governor Abiodun Olujimi (claiming succession rights) - Speaker Friday Aderemi (installed as Acting Governor) The confusion paralyzed governance. President Olusegun Obasanjo eventually declared a state of emergency, suspended democratic institutions in the state, and appointed Brig. Gen. Tunji Olurin (rtd) as Sole Administrator. The saga remains a classic example of how impeachment powers were allegedly abused for political vendettas during the Obasanjo era, given Governor Fayose's running political tussle with the president, which continues to this day.
