Had I known that at the time of sale, that would have materially impacted my decision to purchase the car, and that amounts to altering the terms of the sale after the fact, which is breach of contract.

So a few days ago my 2023 @MazdaUSA CX-9 decided I needed the final reason to absolutely hate it and decide that after 3 Mazdas I am done with them. I always hated how to use the remote start (a lifesaver during winter) could only be done using a stupid app. Who wants an app on their phone for their car?! I went with it though and have used it for the last 3 years. I went to remote start the car and now it is telling me I now have to pay to use their garbage phone app to use a feature of the car I paid for. So with that, Mazda lost me forever. I am not paying a subscription fee to use my car. I’m now looking for a replacement vehicle and I am not enjoying this process at all either. Vehicles are filled with features I don’t want, with insane price tags to go with them. New, used, it doesn’t matter. It’s so frustrating.

Do you expect to see members of government arrested over aiding and abetting this obvious fraud?

@justagu71135181 @BangSwitch5000 @MazdaUSA If @MazdaUSA does the same to me (as Toyota did to others and eventually lost), then we have at least two "similarly situated" as victims of this potential breach of contract. Might be worth contacting attorneys in that event.

@justagu71135181 @BangSwitch5000 @MazdaUSA Mine was sold with Remote Start as a feature, I believe it was even on the window sticker. Taking that feature away and demanding payment does smell like Breach of Contract. Good thing Small Claims in California can be used to litigate such things.
