@MLBTheShow This has been a constant issue since early release. Will there be any compensation for your player base that paid extra $$ for a broken game? Or for anyone thats paid for this game and haven’t been able to play? Or is this the same robotic tone deaf announcement as ever?

The Brewers broadcasting booth lost their read out sheet to the wind and it got plastered to the foul net, so the cameraman zooms all the way in so the booth can still read the sheet. I love baseball so much and I’m so glad baseball season with all of its goofiness is back. 🤣

A drug-addicted parasite stole a gun, walked up to a random pregnant woman in Seattle, and murdered her. Instead of just executing him, the state wasted three years “evaluating” him before reaching a plea deal acquitting him for “insanity,” so now millions of dollars can be spent “rehabilitating” him so that later left-wing activists can work for his release in the hopes he will get to do more drugs and kill somebody again.

@frightwigwam @LeeDissin @WillSammon Dylan will give you a couple good weeks of solid ABs then the rest of the year be completely shit. He’s a good spark plug off the bench on the bases and can play literally anywhere those are his upsides. But when his bat is cold that shit is cold. Career .210 hitter.

@LeeDissin @WillSammon Moore had 127 wRC+ in 2022, 107 in '23, 106 in '24. Last year, 79 wRC+ in 213 PA with Seattle, but 113 wRC+ in 30 PA at the end of the season with Texas. And he can both INF/OF. De La Cruz is a worse bat who just plays OF.

@TheUnrealTed_B @MLBTheShow lol funny you think playing offline is going to stop it from disconnecting somehow. Just got DCd on an offline game in the 7th. Games good. Super good. Had 3 disconnects in co-op thought it was just that. Went offline still somehow can’t play. Cool. Cool.

@MLBTheShow Tried the Event. Made it to the 2nd inning ing and my opponent got disconnected mid pitch. WTF!? Disconnection have not been an issue for like 2 years and now every game. Serious step backwards. Looks like this is going to be the edition where I just play Franchise mode.

19 years ago, a high school basketball coach put his team manager into a game for the final four minutes. The kid had never played a single minute of competitive basketball in his life. He scored 20 points. Jason McElwain was diagnosed with severe autism at age two. He didn’t speak until he was five. He couldn’t chew solid food until he was six. He wore a nappy for most of his early childhood. As a baby, he was rigid, wouldn’t make eye contact, and hid in corners away from other children. He tried out for his school basketball team every year and got cut every time. Too small. Too slight. Barely 5’6 and about 54 kilograms. But he loved the game so much that his mum called the school and asked if there was any way he could be involved. The coach created a team manager role for him. For three years, McElwain showed up to every practice and every game. He wore a shirt and tie on match days. He ran drills, handed out water, kept stats, and cheered every basket like he’d scored it himself. On 15 February 2006, the last home game of his final school year, the coach let him suit up in a proper jersey and sit on the bench. With four minutes left and a comfortable lead, the coach sent him in. His first shot missed. His second missed. Then something shifted. He hit a three-pointer. Then another. Then another. His teammates stopped shooting entirely and just kept passing him the ball. He hit six three-pointers and a two-pointer. 20 points in four minutes. The highest scorer in the game. When the final buzzer went, the entire crowd rushed the court and lifted him onto their shoulders. His mum tapped the coach on the shoulder, in tears. “This is the nicest gift you could have ever given my son.” McElwain won the ESPY Award for Best Moment in Sports that year, beating out some of the biggest names in professional sport. He’s 36 now. He works at a local supermarket, coaches basketball, has run 17 marathons including five Boston Marathons, and travels the country speaking about never giving up. When asked about that night, his coach still gets emotional. “For him to come in and seize the moment like he did was certainly more than I ever expected. I was an emotional wreck.”
