@ThomasPainejr1 @UziCryptoo Zero property tax is fine, but than you need another way to come up with the money for all the services the city provides. So one way or another you are going to have to pay for it. I don't think they should be able to take your house away though once it is paid for.

You can't tax rich people on unrealized gains from stocks because "it's not real money until it's sold." So explain to me why my property taxes keep going up based on the unrealized value of my house? I didn't sell it. I didn't cash out. I didn't make a profit. But somehow I'm paying taxes on paper gains every single year. Interesting how "unrealized gains" only become a problem when wealthy folks are involved.

@binks2091120119 @Eternal_Saints_ You do know , the average data center provides 25-35 jobs... this one even as big as it is will be 120ish jobs. For the size and land consumption - that isn't squat Farmers feed animals that feed us - data center is a military industrial complex BS facade.

@Eternal_Saints_ I disagree. Even without full studies, the data center will use far less water than the farms it replaces. Those farms consume most of the area's water, dump pesticides & fertilizer, and generate almost no jobs/revenue. The data center isn't the real problem.

Keep in mind that no environmental impact studies have been done on the now-approved city-sized data center in Box Elder County. So, when people try to tell you that it won’t impact the water supply for places like Tremonton and Snowville (or Fielding, Collinston, Honeyville, Deweyville, or Howell), they’re not being honest with you. They can’t possibly know that.
