Based on my 20 years growing up in China and on what many people across the Chinese-language internet actually feel: Socialism worldwide has reached a point where earlier generations of revolutionaries would look at it today and think, “Wait! Did we lose back then ?”

One thing should give us pause: morality is often championed only when it can be weaponized. When we draw on morality, how much of its force is directed toward improving ourselves? How much is directed against others?
