@HubnerrMax Super prezentacja.

Porównajcie to sobie z "kompetencjami" ministrów rządu Tuska. Przepaść.

@gdb I have now one file of 20k lines and I wonder when is Codex going to decide to refactor it.

Codex seriously sucks at frontend. There’s something seriously wrong with ChatGPT 5.4 on the frontend part.

I was reminded today that we named a model GPT-5.1-Codex-Max. Sometimes models come at you faster than you can name them, but glad we are in the GPT-5.4 era now, that's nice and simple.

Google uses Go. Meta uses Go. Microsoft uses Go. Amazon uses Go. Uber uses Go. Dropbox uses Go. Cloudflare uses Go. Twitch uses Go. Docker uses Go. Kubernetes uses Go. PayPal uses Go. Shopify uses Go. What’s stopping you from learning Go?

I feel like gpt-5.4 writes way too much stuff out compared to other models. Not a huge fan :(

If GPT-5.4 wasn’t so goddamn bad at UI it’d be the perfect model It just finds the most creative ways to ruin good interfaces… it’s honestly impressive

@aarondfrancis I don’t. They are a mess to work with and with a couple of simple bash wrappers you can have N different “lanes” with full hit clone of your codebase while still having one central control panel.

Why do people like git worktrees over discrete checkouts? (This isn't bait, it's research)

@steipete I have used it for many different tasks but before 5.4 it would be too dry and too fixated on being a developer for certain more general purpose tasks. With 5.4 this might be different now.

IMO people still think of codex as a tool for coding, when really you can do all kind of data analysis/work there.

@atanu_io @sama The only reason you want to stick with Opus 4.6 over Codex + GPT 5.4 is your EGO.

@sama GPT 5 has been vastly superior for coding since 5.3. Now it is becoming the ultimate model for everything else - and coding.

openai is now * way behind claude in terms of single model capability (you can use opus 4.6 for everything, not xxx-codex) * behind claude in terms of coding (am i the only one who are often confused by the output of codex?) * behind google in distribution (gemini is my driver)

@fardeentwt I've stopped arguing with people about it, I don't understand why developers seem to all love Claude + Anthropic, when Codex and GPT5.x is clearly the better harness and model.

@hunvreus @OpenAI I use Github actions + Codex on E2B for a fully mobile engineering experience. Not perfect yet, but when it works it is amazing - create issue, agent creates fix, opens PR, then Coderabbit provides review, E2B gets work again, repeat until PR mergeable.

Can't the Codex team at @OpenAI make the desktop sessions available from a mobile app? I'd love to be able to keep on working while on the go.

@MatthewBerman And it is "meh" at best as it stands right now. Connector catalog sure is impressive, but once AFK, no way you can access the work it is supposed to help you with. The sandbox VM it runs on has tons of weird quirks, e.g. you cannot run certain CLI oauth flows. MVP-stage
