@InvertTheWing He is not saving us. Man you guys are thick. We are going down, it’s our own fault and we will have to dig ourselves out. This decline is many years in the making for never taking the next step to build upon the successes we had. It’s a sad state of affairs.

Just look at how symmetrical his knees look, wow. Beautiful. Hasn’t loss significant mass, causing asymmetry, which would have me worried in him not coming back the same. The symmetry means his knee is still strong. Madders can be Madders. His ACL surgeon and physiotherapist has done a wonderful job. I have no doubt James Maddison will save Tottenham from relegation. Put him in midfield, and he will be the best player on the pitch.

@HansMokeNiemann I’m a Magnus fan and agree rating should decay, but I do think a rating system should be introduced which covers the top 4 time controls. He also wasn’t inactive the past year……

For those without context, the supposed #1 player would be considered inactive in any other sport and wouldn’t be able to maintain his ranking. Tennis is the perfect example. Rating/rankings should reward ACTIVITY!

Most people would be excited that chess made it to Netflix, especially to participate. Hikaru and his collaborators aren’t used to criticism, they couldn’t control the narrative. Notice how neither Magnus or Hikaru have said they won’t watch the doc. They don’t want to publicise their lies and deceit.

Let's assume a 2.5 index (not a vanity index!). Assuming Augusta has course rating of 78 and slope of 155, the course handicap is 9. Golfers of all skill levels will tend to average ~3 shots above course handicap. This takes our hero to an average of 12 over par. Let's add an additional 10 shots of difficulty kicker on top of that. That puts them at an average of 22 over par per round. They would average 94 strokes each round. 88 over par over 4 rounds. They started at a 100 under par, went 88 over, and end up finishing at 12 under par. 12 under wins 6 of the last 10 events outright, plus one event where 12 under ties for the lead. Is 10 shots enough of a kicker? For some I think it would be. They won't get in too much trouble off the tee, it's the greens that will provide the biggest pucker factor...
