I don’t know exactly what’s going on here, but it does feel AI-related. Unlike PM and eng, which started growing in 2024 (two years post-ChatGPT), design didn’t. If I had to venture a theory, I’d say that because AI is allowing engineers to move so quickly, there’s less opportunity—and less desire—to involve the traditional design process. That said, you’d think design would become a differentiator as more products compete for attention. Something to think about for your company! We’ll keep watching this trend and AI’s impact on org design more generally. One interesting observation we made when we went a level deeper: the ratio of demand for PMs vs. designers has flipped. In mid-2023, we went from more open designer roles to more open PM roles. And ever since, PM demand has been pulling away (currently 1.27x). This will be another trend to monitor, in terms of how AI is reshaping org design.

- got into a relationship with the love of my life
- flew to Abu Dhabi for @SolanaConf
- bought new iphones, filming setup and studio displays
- spent 2 days in a desert resort
- back to ams for a few days
- flew to Mexico for xmas and NYE with the fam (girlfriend flew in)
- created a vision board for 2026
all whilst crushing it with @outpacestudios and the other ventures we’ve got lined up
insanely grateful for all the highs and lows, because it’s what got me where I am today.
and still… the best is yet to come.

this tuesday was my 1 year anniversary at @AbstractChain!
1 year ago I joined Abstract to work on devrel, support our early teams before launch and experiment with content. and I feel very happy to say that I was part of the goated team that helped to push a succesful mainnet.
I remember @0xCygaar (🐐) DM'd me to grab a coffee and chat about devrel and without expecting it I ended up joining the team a few weeks later.
then a few months ago, I got the opportunity to work on all AI things related, onboarding devs and projects building next gen AI products onto the chain.
doing this has been the most meaningful and exciting work of my career so far
feeling very grateful to work in the most bullish crypto company right now while learning a lot of things during this time, and willing to learn even more.
