The scales have now fallen from the eyes of Babachir Lawal, a 2023 supporter of Peter Obi. He now realizes that Obi, who dreads primaries, desires a consensus that benefits him alone—a philosophy seemingly ingrained in his DNA. In street parlance, it is called 'Me only, nobody else' or 'I before anybody else'. Obi is a very selfish politician. He cannot build a political party. He goes to where other people have toiled to cook the soup and takes the biggest meat in the pot. Gbajue politician of this era! x.com/Imranmuhdz/sta…

The disappointment of the exit of Kwankwaso from the ADC is turning to be a blessing for ADC especially to Atiku. Almost everyone is not happy with Kwankwaso up north and there is unprecedented sympathy towards Atiku due to this attempt at backstabbing him.

A LEADER AFRAID OF PRIMARIES CANNOT ASK NDI-IGBO TO RISK THEIR LIVES FOR HIS AMBITION. Ndi-Igbo will not put their lives on the line to defend the votes of a man who is visibly afraid of facing political primaries. God forbid. True leadership demands courage. A genuine leader must demonstrate that he is willing to stand with his people, even at great personal risk that he is ready to die for them if necessary. Unfortunately, Peter Obi has repeatedly shown that he does not possess this essential quality. Ndi-Igbo have seen enough. They are wiser now.

You are talking nonsense. I am his lawyer. I read the statement at the DSS office. I spoke with director of investigation. Nothing like that. He has been charged. It is all about cyber crime. No single thing about talking to soldiers. He never corresponded with any soldier. This is your own manufactured falsehood
PATRIOTIC SOJA ($TSIR-MUNCHAN)@Pressman2040

Let me speak plainly here as a soldier. Zagazola just broke this down better than most commentators ever will. Justice Mark Chidiebere didn't cross the line because he criticised the military. He crossed it when he allegedly started having private conversations with serving soldiers about "change of government." That is not activism. That is not free speech. That is a red flag wrapped in a conspiracy. Let me make this clear for everyone in the back: any civilian who tries to pull a serving soldier into discussions about overthrowing the government is not a journalist. They are not a blogger. They are not a citizen activist. They are a security threat. And no military in the world not America, not Britain, not Nigeria will ignore that. So while people argue about free speech, we soldiers are thinking about something else: what happens if a young, frustrated soldier actually listens? What happens if an illegal order is given? What happens if that conversation leads to real action? That is why the DSS stepped in. Not to silence opinions. To prevent a potential explosion. Content creators need to understand something: your phone is not a shield. Your follower count is not immunity. When you cross from criticising policy to courting mutiny, you become a problem that the state is duty‑bound to solve. Zagazola said the line is not always visible but it is very real. Let me add: if you cannot see it, stay far away from it. Because the consequences will not care about your intentions. They will care about what you did. Be wise. 🇳🇬

@DeleMomodu Bob Dee, I was about to write a lengthy post and give you a detailed analysis, but I just realised there's no point. Atiku should retire - it's as simple as that. If he persists, he won't even get half the vote he got in 2023. Nigerians are fed up with big man politics.

REALITY CHECKS: "As the 2027 election approaches, it's good to give a highlight of the major conditions required for any candidate to be declared winner of the election according to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. (1) Candidates must get the majority of the votes from the entire country. (2) Candidate must get at least 25% from at least 24/36 states plus the FCT. In 2023 for example, INEC declared Bola Ahmed Tinubu the winner of the election for securing 36.7% of the total votes and 25% from 29 states. Followed by Atiku Abubakar who secured 29.9% of the votes and got 25% from 21 states. And then Peter Obi who came third with 26.1% of the total votes and 25% from 15 states. What does that mean? Tinubu was declared winner not only because of the number of votes, but also because of the 25% rule, which he secured majority from Ondo, Ekiti, Kwara, Ogun, Oyo, Niger, Kogi, Benue, Jigawa, Zamfara, Borno and Rivers. On the other hand, Atiku Abubakar won states like Osun, Yobe, Gombe, Adamawa, Katsina, Bauchi, Kaduna, Sokoto, Kebbi, Taraba, Bayelsa and Akwa-Ibom bringing it to a total of 12 states. Similarly, Peter Obi won states like Enugu, Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi, Imo, Delta, Cross-River, Edo, Lagos, FCT, Plateau and Nassarawa bringing it to a total of 12 states with none from North-West and North-East. Kwankwaso dominated Kano State with more than a million votes. Based on this highlights, who do you think will win the 2027 presidential election?

Nigerians, please judge this case between consensus and direct primaries in the ADC. Atiku demanded a consensus arrangement, but Obi said no—he doesn’t believe in that and influenced others to reject it. Atiku later called for direct primaries, and again Obi said no, claiming he doesn’t have enough members to compete with others. Peter Obi want a free ticket, where he would be picked, and secondly be allowed to handpick Kwankwaso as his VP candidate. The ADC has certain rules and regulations. There’s no way you would be handed a free ticket and still be allowed to choose a VP by yourself—it’s not POssible.
